epic video, would love to do something like that.

you poor sod, i'm so glad i don't live there..
-
do mine online as well, it seem's much less painfull handing over £220 in cash to the post office, to get a round bit of paper, and another question, what do you buy, 6mth's or 12 mth's? i buy 12, as i put £20 away each month in separate part of my bank account. so i don't fall short to pay it, due to may being a busy month (truckfest etc).

not sure if it of any intrest, but castrol magnatec 10/40 4liter, is on offer again, £19.59 or if you have a trade card it £18.61, got mine you got your's?......

that i what owning a mc2 is all about, and if you ever think about trading/selling it, just take it past 6k and watch all those thought's dissapear in the mirror. i've never thought about trading mine in, cause i can't find anything that would give me the same fun the deck give's me.

tbh, i quite like the kia cee'd, it's certianly the underdog of that bit of the car market, but wait a couple of year's and there is going to be very cheap top of the range estate's gonna be going cheap, as the RAF are using them as a pool car's (talking 1000s here), to replace the mk5 astra, they had been wanting the cee'd since it came out, but kia kept saying yes you can have it but not with the 100K/7yr warranty, but eventually they got them with the warranty aswell. the other reason was the price, the kia cee'd estate 4 (near top spec) with a 1.6 crdi engine is about 21K and a astra tourer es (bottom spec) with a 1.7 cdti is about 21k as well, make's sence, but with the old astra's they were the life model, so very basic.... if i was in the market for a diesel estate, i think the kia cee'd estate would be top of the list.

Ruddy heck, how many groups are there now, when I started driving there were only 10. Showing my age I know. there's 50 now, should i say that the EP3 is only group 34

philgor replied to knight's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
don't think it's a lower front strut brace, as there H shaped, although they do, do a bent front lower brace, but it not that big, can't remember if knight's got a rear upper brace fitted, if not, that what my money's not. if he has, C-piller brace.. or B-piller brace, i know davemb2 has one in his mb3..- 3,767 replies

Thanks. I hope so, I have some plans for it . Thanks. And I am hoping so, ahah. Found out, I do need a new sump. Due to the hole, and another possible rust patch that could become one.. Four new tires.. Cheap enough to get hold of so no trouble. And possibly a new rocker cover gasket. Seems to be leaking a bit. Will have a better look tomorrow and get some pictures for you guys. Seen as though you love them so much! I was offered a swap for a 1.8 aerodeck today.. I don't know if I should take it or not.. Just needs a new ABS sensor for it . do it, subject to condition of the vehicle, insurance running cost's etc (i'm finding the aerodeck to be about 2/3mpg worse than the auto, as VTEC is addictive...) insurance it is a group 19 car (can't remember what the 1.6 auto was..), if you want a local member to have a quick look over, just give me a PM, i'll sort something out with you...

That's what I was thinking, something reliable and alright for the daily/low key, then when it starts to suck the life out of me, grab the Honda and treat her right! I could live with the shame of a Kia Pride if I had an EK9 in the garage, go for it mate. can't afford 2 car's, so 1 vti aerodeck that can do both work and play is my kind of thing, but still if i had a EK9, i be able to live with a peugeot 106

wow, ere, i'm just payed 660 for the year....
-
very good point, ask them to stick it through a mot emission's test while it in there, as that will show up any issues to do with fueling low compression...
-
boody 'ell, £65 in 140 mile's, i'll be honest, i put the same in last week and got 300+ mile's out of it, and that's doing 85 on a motor way, check what other people have said, and if that check's out ok, i'd look at the lambda sensor (£50 iirc) but also do a ECU reset, there's a how to in the how to section. also check for vacume leak's on the air intake sysem as well. also what fuel are you using as most of us find we get poorer economy on supermarket fuel's over branded fuel's like shell bp esso etc, i run mine on shell fuel save and i'm avagaging 30-35mpg.
-
yes it will but the tailpipe will need exstending due to the extra 6" of body that thedeck has over the hatch.
-
sound's like your looking for the torque mount, it as the back of the engine bay at the bottom, and i beleive it's a twat to change aswell....

don't get me wrong, there are better tyre's out there, but at the same time there are a hell of a lot worse, and also thinking about it, i'm comparing knackered toyo's @1.7 mm with brand new uniroyal's with 8mm of tread on them, and they were what came with the car, the car before that had michelin's energy's on it (185/60/14) over what's on it now (195/50/15) so it's a lot different... people do rate them, and they are keanly priced.. I like the T1-R's they are cheap, soft, grippy, reasonably quiet, reasonably comfy and predictable. They don't last that long but at about £35 a corner who cares? good point but i'm not a fan of them some people sware by 'em but i don't opinion's that's all they are, some people like them other's don't...
-
not so keen on the falken's, just see to be cheap and a bastard to fit a times'... uniroyal rs2, see my comment's above avon, they still make the zv3/5, along with zz3/5 and the zt5, been a fan of avon tyre's, nice to fit, was gonna fit zt5 to my old civic, but it got sold instead.. looking to next winter already, i'm hoping to be able to have a the summer wheel's on zz3 or zv3 tyre's and the winter one's on uniroyal's or winter rubber, but i'll cross that bridge later in the year..
-
Ahh No, just saw this after ordering 4 toyo T1R's (fell for the hype im afraid) oh well as long as they were good while they lasted its ok, cheap enough aswell. just have to see how they go, gota be an improvement on the budgets i used to have. thanks all. don't get me wrong, there are better tyre's out there, but at the same time there are a hell of a lot worse, and also thinking about it, i'm comparing knackered toyo's @1.7 mm with brand new uniroyal's with 8mm of tread on them, and they were what came with the car, the car before that had michelin's energy's on it (185/60/14) over what's on it now (195/50/15) so it's a lot different... people do rate them, and they are keanly priced..

the only way to do it would be to relocate the whole switch to else where, but that would need the wiring extending and you would lose the steering lock aswell..
-
got uniroyall rain sport 2 on the front it's a really good allround tyre in dry, wet and snow. they do take time to gt used to as it has a very soft side wall... had toyo t1r's all round (still got two on the back) after all the hype people give them, i'm not fussed by them, they were too soft for my liking, (only got 8k out of them) and found them ok in the wet but not brilliant, compared to other's, good in the dry.

dread to think what a b18c4 would be.... edit, done a bit of digging, honda killed the b18c4 off before march 2001, but the 1.6 se sport aerodeck is 250 quid a year to tax....
