  1. Clubcalibra is a prime example of that, 5/6 years ago it was a nice friendly forum, nowadays it's just pi$$ pulling obnoxious d!ckheads
  2. You will probably have more luck on club323f, yes I know older model mazda, a few of the lads have moved on to the Mazda 3 and 6 and have stuck around so you might have more luck on there I've stayed on there, as it's a nice friendly forum, not as many posting as they're were a few years ago however still fairly active:)
  3. I didn't even realise the d14 had an egr valve I would imagine removal and cleaning it with carb cleaner wouldn't be to difficult I don't know how well it would respond to a clean though being a petrol? I tried cleaning it on my Zafira 1.6 but it made no difference at all, in the end I just blanked the infernal thing off Hate the things
  4. Shocking mate, scumbags, clearly kids by the sound of it, as if they were older it would have been for your ice Is it far from where you live? As I'd be concerned that the little no marks have your house keys, and it's close to Christmas, worst time for burglaries
  5. I know, every auto I've had, for a week or so I think they're great, lazy driving about and that Then il do something like going for the clutch and smashing my face against the windscreen
  6. My D14Z4 gets some stick, and long as it's looked after with regular decent quality oil changes you can kick its head in to your hearts content I never thrash mine from cold though:) IMO you have to be heavy footed with the 1.4 to keep up with modern traffic anyway
  7. If you take the glovebox lid off you can help pull the loom through the 2 holes at the back of the recess to enable enough space for the headunit to go right back Hope this helps:)
  8. Your getting over cooling, so the cooling system is essentially working, as said above a blocked rad or duff water pump would cause the opposite and you'd be overheating or running hot I'd personally try another stat as it's not unheard off for new ones to be duff Are you loosing heat when the bottom hose is cold? My money is still on thermostat as it's classic over cooling symptoms
  9. I did the ashtray swap aswell, looks so much cleaner Only thing I was disappointed with was that you lose the ashtray light as the mg one doesent have a light, just the orange ring of the lighter itself
  10. Must admit they do suit the M I'm surprised nobodies fitted the straights yet:)
  11. Are those not the cheaply card cutout ones? I've fitted those before, the numbering is always off and if you don't have LEDs the stock bulbs hardly shine through:(
  12. I've had a look and I can't find them, any chance of a link mate:)
  13. True Beige is a bit Rovery to be honest
  14. Beige leather though I keep talking myself in and out of it, as I know the car inside and out and aside from a little intermittent overheating which (touch wood) is sorted now after a mammoth bleeding and burping session, (2 hours in stop start traffic the other day and all good) I'm going to see the car all the time as well, and i'm wondering if I can handle that
  15. Bargain, where did you get the filter/adapter from if you don't mine me asking?
  16. I've actually found a deck that I'm quite smitten with, it that nice burgundy red colour 1.6 vtec ES, only downside it's an auto Now I like autos, however I always miss going up and down the gears myself after driving them for a while, if that's still for sale when the time comes I reckon thats a candidate:) Pic from the ad Only £500:)
  17. It's not a 2 litre accord by any chance is it? That's why mine went
  18. I'm in a dilemma at the moment, a mate has offered me £700 for her, without the stereo etc and a few other bits and pieces I don't know wether to take his offer, as although I'm very happy with how I've got her and how it looks I miss a more powerful engine I've been looking for another m, ideally a vti but at the moment theyres nothing for sale locally and I don't want to end up with a euro bucket:( What to do what to do:(
  19. I agree, I had a 1.6 mk1 and I couldn't fault the handling, really good in all conditions Shame I blew the engine:( I lost confidence in it after that even after replacing it will a low miler blacktop 1.6 it still burned oil at a fairly rapid rate
  20. Great guide I didn't know it was as straightforward as that, and why I've never considered plasma dials in the past Nice one:)
  21. I got a Rover 200 in part x a couple of years ago and used it over winter as the tax and test ran out the following February It was a cracking little car that served me well and went anywhere with its little steelies on snow tyres, I never washed it, opened the bonnet or nowt 1 almost shed a tear when I got rid. Not
  22. Mmm tough one, I'd say depends which one he has as they're is 2, a 100bhp and 115 The L series engine is quite tunable so would depend if it's been tinkered with I would still bet the mb3 being quicker overall as I reckon it will be lighter, maybe not off the line as td's power always comes in a lump I've not driven a 1.5 vtec but I remember having a bit play with one when I had my Accord (2 litre vtec) and he was pulling away from me, not massively but enough to leave me red faced, clearly due to mine being the fully loaded exec and the size and weight of a barge:)
  23. That's the stuff, for a few quid more you could buy the proper stuff www.flyeyeskit.co.uk They're really quick with posting and you get full instructions how to do it with a felt smoother card thingy aswell which makes the job a bit easier
  24. Thanks mate It's a labour of love as they are always little bits that need trimming or re sticking back down as they've either started to lift or crinkle I plan on re doing the heater panel again, this time in better quality wrap as I used cheap stuff before Just means taking the dash apart again, it been to bits that many times I can do it in a crack now The screws (now bolts) of doom are lathered in copper grease so they fly out now:)
