Easy mate, take the dash clocks surround out first, then you can easily get your fingers and pull the long piece out, it's just held in by metal clips Theyres a few how to's how to do it aswell
-
Looks a good base, bodywork looks in great nick Mine looked exactly the same when I bought mine, I got mine from a guy in Sunderland cheap aswell I love those vtec decals, was one of the first things I added to mine
-
I'd say a noisy belt, usually the alternator belt Mine does the same, I sprayed a little water to diagnose mine as it makes a noticibly louder noise if it is that
-
I had this problem without the sludge, maybe worth changing your thermostat when you flush and replace the coolant Kills 2 birds with 1 stone, as a new stat sorted mine:)

Looks showroom fresh I'm guessing by your first post that towbar is coming off?

I agree it looks awesome, I'd love something like that, maybe one day:) It will be great to work on the car or tinker and not have to worry about weather:)

Pleased you got it sorted mate What method did you do to bleed the cooling system?
-
I tried to tuck it behind the headlight all the way round but it wouldn't near the indicators so I cut around with a craft knife to the contour of the headlight, hoping it would be ok, however as said about the wet has got behind and it's starting to lift:( going to have to figure out how to get it stuck back down before it gets any worse
-
I feel your pain mate, the 1.4 is pretty gutless I knew it would be when I bought mine, having came from a 2 litre vtec Accord made it feel even worse The good mpg and cheap tax and insurance make up for it though It probably would be cheaper to buy a vti than going down supercharger or turbo route Theyres been a few for sale lately cheap

Maz's Silver MB2 Project... SOLD SOLD SOLD!!! :(
Roylewaa replied to ammarbm's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
Looking very nice:) Where did you get the paint from? I was going to use the old hammerite but fancy trying something different when I do mine:) -
No I tried to remove the headlights however the bolts have been rounded off by someone tying before so gave up Wish I did though as it near impossible to tuck the flyeye wrap into the crevices at the indicator side and as it's been raining im getting some lift on one side

Will do

Thanks chaps, il give that a go:)

As title, since changing my thermostat I've had a bubbling and gurgling sound coming from the heater matrix on mainly cold starting I'm guessing theyres still some air in there from the stat change, as it didn't do this before Is they're a good method of getting this air out without to much hassle? Coolant is pretty much up to the neck inside the rad and expansion tank is on the max, levels have not changed since the stat was changed about a month ago, temp gets up to just below half now and stays there no matter what which points that it was originally the stat at fault before. heaters are also nice and hot Cheers for any advice:)

Thanks chaps The fronts were so much easier to do than the rear lights, they were a right pita I also swapped the horn out for a Rover 45 one, took 2 mins to do as plug and play and uses the old bracket, no more mip mip Might fit the rubber foot rest tomorrow weather permitting

stevie's Mb2 hard decision to make
Roylewaa replied to powerofdreams's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
It totally transforms the look at the front for very little money, my favourite mods, ones that cost less:) I must get round to doing the surround on mine, I've painted it black but it is stonechipped already I'm doing my mirror backs next week, and thinking about doing the 2 black trim bits on the doors, not the bump strips the metal ones, I've not seem that done to my knowledge, I might be wrong though :/ -

That looks pretty good mate -
Cheers for all the positive comments Finally fitted the flyeyes to the front headlights, together with the Cree sidelights gives it a meaner look at the front It's crying out for a vti/vtis lip now

I'd hazard a guess that it's a dealer only part:)

Halfrauds sell those plastic chrome letters and numbers aswell -
Yep, that's what I did, certain ones on eBay also have the 5.25 inch adapter aswell if you don't want to fit 6.5 inchI wouldn't buy them from Halfrauds tho, the price of them in there is daylight robbery
