  1. See in the morning if you have time when it's cold mate, fingers crossed!
  2. I need many VTEC sessions to get used to it again
  3. Ouch, yeah perks of the coast, lots of salt water all year round! I bet you had to get shares in WD40 for that?
  4. Haha brilliant! I can't wait to get these calipers back! I enjoy working on the car when I have something to work with All learning as I've never done this before either but it all came off easily enough, did have a bit of help though but 90% me!
  5. Plus it's frigging annoying to carry in the pocket or have them touch your leg while driving! Just the key a remote fob on the ring for the car!
  6. Yeah that's understandable! Sometimes the guys in the know aren't able to reply as quickly as we'd like but we try between us to help where we can!
  7. That or just the throttle body a good clean?
  8. It's bloody annoying though! But like I said earlier, it's all ageing so anything original being replaced can only do good!
  9. Do it! Why haven't you done it already?! Damn you
  10. At that point it becomes a process of elimination or testing different components where possible, troubleshooting can sometimes be more of a pain that replacing the problem part!
  11. I've gone for this http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-77275-castrol-red-rubber-grease-for-hydraulic-brake-and-clutch-components.aspx
  12. If it does but the problem is still there then there's a component causing the misfire...tangled web of stuff!
  13. Aye! The bleeding is the only part I'll want a second bod for! I reckon if I've not been killed off by the 5.5 mile walk home from the QMC tomorrow I'll be able to get them assembled that evening!
  14. I've been reading all sorts from it being the worst thing you can do to not bothering with it at all etc etc. Had nothing at all so go a tub of stuff from Opie oils that's petroleum free so won't hurt the seals etc if it does get onto them at all.
  15. Cool, cheers dude! Mtec discs and Brembo pads, cost about £200 and that's for all round.
  16. And you don't have to track down the weird brake light issue!
  17. I've always said that when it comes to modifying, mapping is important, no point in giving the engine the means to take more air and fuel in if the ECU hasn't got any idea what to do with it.
  18. Did you do both sides of the shim or just the back of the pad dude?
  19. Yeah random bits and pieces you've never normally think about suddenly become gold
  20. I can imagine with the age of our cars anything changed for new will help even if that item doesn't cure the problem. But I'd like to hope something nice and easy would be the culprit!
  21. Just a quick one really, with the shims do I still need to grease the backs of the pads at all? And if so, just between the pad and shim or both sides of the shim? Ta!
  22. I paid about the same for my dizzy, brand new but not OE Honda but does the job! Not sure on the damage front but if it's already happening then it'll already be hurting.
