No true, what do they even put in that anyway?

Have fun in the S2000!
-
Glad I could help!
-
That's cheaper! (The mag)

It's because they'd base the cost of repair on brand new parts from an approved Honda repairer! Cat D is better than I expected though! What will you do, keep and repair? Is it just the bumper and exhaust?

Going to find out if I need any before hunting for them, not sure I fancy used ones though, something bugs me when it comes to important bits like this about used items! If she starts, she'll run fine at idle, not rough or any signs of trouble until you suddenly gas her, she'll rev if your gentle and the same goes for actual driving, straining the engine seems to produce the problems so I'm going to get her warmed up at idle, make her stall, get it running again (if I can) then pull the plugs from injectors. Seems logical in my head...

Me too!

Had a lot of time this morning to read about on the interweb and the Honda service manual downloaded from here! Interweb seems to point at the injectors either dirty or dying. The service manual has told me to get the car running then unplug each one in turn to check if the idle drops, if I unplug one and it doesn't, then it's potentially clogged or duff!

Just looked it up, that Audi is nearly 1500kg!

Taken from the How JDM your lights thread, hope this makes sense! Passenger Side 1- To remove the rear light lens, open the boot and pull back the carpet behind light. there should be a push clip remove this with a flat blade screw driver and pull back carpet then you will see the 4 x 8mm fixing nuts undo these , then unclip the multi plug that the loom plugs into this is a push clip with a little tab push down on the tab to release. Now the lens cluster will pull off nice n easy. Done! 2-Ok there there is no rear fog light on the passenger side however honda kindly left us the hole for the bulb holder to go but its has a plastic plug in it and its a moulded item so cant just pull it off so get yer drill out and drill round the edge of it till you have a hole for the bulb holder to sit in! Done before and after the drilling use a file to tidy up edges
-
I haven't done it myself but my thinking is if you maybe put a hole into it with a drill then you can get something in with a hook maybe to pull it out?
-
It should come out easily with some force or help from a drill and file?

I had to as I needed to get from Edinburgh down to London and back to Nottingham in the same trip! Two and a half tanks of fuel it took all in!
-
True, hoping it stays as a "new" issue too!
-
Yeah he was going through way of checking for a spark but this was at nearly 9pm last night and I wasn't interested at that point But yeah if I can get it to start playing up, then get the plugs out to check for sparks. Just a matter of having the weather plus some help with cranking her etc! Doesn't help my brother was told yesterday that sidejobs in the garage are off the table for the time being as somebody was taking the p1ss!
-
If only, I went from Nottingham to Edinburgh and then onto single track roads around Perth on that tank!
-
It's all in the techinque!
-
Oh no!! It depends on how much is too much! All you can do I suppose is price up the parts and see what he says? Insurance can go a couple of ways, say it's invalid and leave you in the sh1t, only repair/replace the OEM parts or given the age and market value of these write it off as a Cat D/C

I hadn't no! But have just seen it Should change it to say "Make it run properly"!
-
I like those door cards, shame they only seem to have keep fit rear window cards for sale!
-
At least you got the core parts to improving the handling out of it if nothing else, not a complete loss!
-
Despite the issues mine has currently, I can eek out 300ish mostly town driving or up to 350 on a run, my record though (done in my previous MB6) is this was basically a full tank of on a run was this.......
-
No mate, wasn't that bad to look at but you could tell it was far from new! But when we tipped it upside down (engine side facing the floor) it wasn't exactly gushing out and as I said, manky brown colour! If that turns out to be the case do you think it's a costly thing vs replacing with new?

With only £30 to last me till next Friday redex and VPower are my cheapest options, though I've still got about 1/3 of a tank of regular unleaded, any idea how long if I were to chuck a whole bottle of redex in it would take to get from the tank to the motor? Never really paid attention to how quick it'll mix and travel as last time I used it I took the air filter off the Accord and chucked it straight into the intake.
