Yeah I don't think a short shifter will cure your problem.

I like those wheels, so much that I've had them twice!

Usually 1000-1500rpm band as well! Mapping just adds more oomph to that band too rather than extending it. This was certainly the case when I had the Leon FR TDi. Killed the flywheel chasing a 911 on a bendy bit of road

Yeah but if you're doing a lot of miles it makes sense.

Meet Roxy! Daves Honda Civic TypeR FN2 (UPDATE: Roxy waving goodbye to Civic5)

Smaller wheels with a larger profile would make life more comfortable, but not sure how much better it would be than it is currently? I would only switch to diesel again if I was doing the miles to warrant it. Most of my driving is in and around Nottingham with the occasional (okay quite a bit lately) jaunt across the country! Diesels suffer a lot driving in urban situations and the MPG is shite unless you're on a long run! Diesel Accords also have a list of problems which can be expensive to fix too! Clutch, Flywheel, Injectors, Inlets can all fail! Then you've got EGR valves that'll clog up because of short journeys! If you do go for an Accord, get the 2.4 petrol at the very least!- 340 replies

If it's not every time it might a worn mount? If the engine and box are moving it could be causing the rough change?
-
Nice plans for it mate! Will be keeping an eye on this one
-
Does it feel rough every time or just when cold or hot? Also how does it feel with the engine off? Could be worn syncro.
