  1. Looks a beauty mate. It must be something about cars with an M, I love these too
  2. Thanks mate, I thought that's where it was. Pity its not easier to get to or maybe I'm just lazy
  3. I think mine needs cleaning but I can't find it! Revs sometimes dip to 100-200 when running idle with warm engine, and sometimes revs over 2000 when I start up. It's easy to spot in the MB6 but there's a bunch of hoses and cables obscuring my view in the 1.4. Should it be in the same place as on the MB6? This is what I've got http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/7004/dscn0377ty.jpg and a view from the back (serious discomfort to get this one!) http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/4295/dscn0376x.jpg Is the IAC valve anywhere near here? http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/1473/dscn0375n.jpg I see two hoses and what looks like an electrics cable going in near the middle of this pic, so looks like the most likely candidate, but there' gonna be some serious jiggery pokery to get in there so I want to make sure its right before I start messing around with it. Cheers
  4. My VTi isn't a minter mate so don't build your hopes up! oh too modest. With 80 pages of build thread its gotta be pretty good mate
  5. For just the side rears or tailgate? any prices would be good x2 Looking forward to seeing this in the flesh
  6. That looks awesome mate, you've made such a difference since you got it.
  7. Agree way too much electrical stuff in new cars And they have no character Trouble is I'm not a mechanic so I wish the good cars weren't so old lol
  8. Nice work mate, love the subtle work on this I keep finding cars on here with the headlights done like this, looks smart. Its on my must-do list
  9. Nice car mate I like the headlights seen several on here done like that, they look smart, way better than standard as photo nicely shows Imo rims would look better in grey on your car, goes better with the silver as said before.
  10. I gave up on this in the end, got a guy down the road to do it. Still can't believe how easy it was!! There's a tab on the left (cant see it in photos) that you have to pull out, I didn't realise so I was just pulling the plug and getting nowhere lol - what a plank! Cheers Paul
  11. Yup I'd be interested. Used to drive my mum's fiesta and miss the heated windscreen now
  12. Nice looking car mate, saw it up on ebay a while back looked like a good price but outta my reach in York. Like the colour as well
  13. x2. Need someone to fit it tho as I don't trust myself - could get a mate to do it with the how to. I wonder if we get another group of us maybe could do another batch?? just a thought
  14. Cool yeh thats them. Lowered on fanblades looks
  15. A man after my own heart. I like the mb6 fan blades. Got myself a set of 15"ers this week. I don't need to change anything do I to fit them - got 15" speedlines atm. I'm hoping its just a straight swap job, but I've read a lot of snippets about offsets on here and I still don't understand them fully.
  16. I hardly have to touch them - really sensitive. True its better than spongy maybe its just I'm not used to having good ones . Ill check discs and pads tomorrow. Was just looking thru and some of the descriptions sounded like what I've got. Ill try that too, saw that on one of the posts I looked at. I'm gonna take it to a mechanic I know to do some work on it soon so I want to get it all done in one go, need to make sure I know what the problem is. Have noticed some occasional pulling to the left as well...
  17. The brakes on my vtis are quite touchy. I didn't think much of it till I came on here and found out that the rear calipers have a habit of seizing up. Also my handbrake is pathetic - I have to put it full on and even then it doesnt hold that well. Had it tightened up when it went for service last week but no better really. Does this sound like rear calipers seized to you guys?
  18. This is really sad news. I'm thinking of you Dave. Can't find the right words, I'm rubbish with words, but hang in there mate
  19. I had that problem after a service on my other civic (3dr - not an m). Took it to a mechanic and he said it might be the new spark plugs not adjusted right. Sorted itself out after 2wks so didn't bother getting it checked and its fine now
  20. The first pic shows the socket in the new door, so that's what I need to disconnect from in the old door The plug is completely jammed as in pic3 - I've pushed it, pulled it, wiggled it, squeezed it, shouted at it... but nothing
  21. If only. I've cut the rubber off but still can't get the plug loose I'll try again tomorrow
  22. Any tips on releasing the plug from the door socket - looks like there's a catch on inside of socket that's stopping me atm. Did you have this problem?
