  1. Got myself the autoglym QD kit and got busy after work!! Bumper to go on tomorrow!!
  2. Haha i am mate!!! Next year wont be so rushed but im still doing mods i got involved with when i first got her so will be better prepared next year! Ok ill have a butchers
  3. Yeah lacquer went down on bumper this morning, ill get it fitted tomorrow lunch time so thats all good! With the earth straps i just twisted up blue wires then crimped a small terminal each end, simple but effective i reckon! Started the clean up this morning (moving house in a couple weeks so was full of boxes etc) henry in it this lunchtime then soapy jet wash after work... Will see if i can get a dodo detailer from halfrauds on lunch too... Or is anything else suggested for a quick detailer spray from halfrauds??
  4. Ditto!! Well, silverish twin anyway lol! Yeah used cans mate and from what i can see the finish is ok... Will need a rub down and re painting at a later date but its good enough to go on for now! Better than a black bumper anyway lol!!As above the finish isnt great but thats what happens with last minute jobs!! Lol will do for now! Now do i attempt to get the side strips silver before saturday or am i pushing it?!? Think i have left those far too late!! Lool
  5. Trust matty, ive been on edge since i got that crack really just hoping she doesn't pull a hissy fit on me right before fest!! Lool! So happy i cant hear knocking anymore, tyres are loud though... I hit a bit of fresh road and silent... Then on normal road i can really hear them! But im happy aslong as its not a running problem! Lol Little Fest update.... Bumper nearly ready to fit!... And a couple of blue earth straps for in the bay, why not...
  6. So sorry to have read this pal! This is one i was hoping to see in person at fest as you have put so much time and effort into her gutted for you mate really am!! The main thing is that your ok... The front end can possibly be rebuilt... Although humpty dumpty got put back together its good that its only the car that needs attention and not yourself also
  7. Your probably right simpo!! But i ground down my 17mm socket and made sure they were plenty tight enough all round today so maybe that was the problem? No knocking all the way home so so far so good lads!!
  8. Ok update!!! Jacked front up, no bearing play or sound... Box is a bit whirly from underneath but nothing major... One of the front spigot rings had a little split in so took off to investigate, put back on making sure all square and tight etc... Now i cant hear the noise! Will see what happens on my journey home so no parts ordered as of yet! Hopefully i hear nothing on way home and i can focus on finishing bumper and get to cleaning!!
  9. Someone say blanking plates??? I know its a ford but looks tidy for a banger!!
  10. Had my mate jump in a minute ago and he don't reckon shafts!! Im going to get it in on my lunch, check bearings and also the tyres as suggested phil... The new wheels needed me to grind a socket to get wheel nuts on as they weren't long enough so i might double check all those too!! Is it possible that the new wider wheels could have put extra stress on shafts or bearings??
  11. Updates looking good man, better than all that chrome!
  12. Looking good fella! Looks a clean base to work from, these maroon M's can turn out amazing so good luck with the progress mate!
  13. Yeah whole shafts be a lot easier!! So might just get these then and have done with it!! Lol
  14. Lol only drivers for some reason, got them everywhere else lool!!And grant, its had a faint click click click on full lock for a while so thats also pointing me towards the cv joints pal
  15. Cheers simon! Its just a shame im getting all these niggley bits right before fest!!
  16. Im pretty certain its shaft or bearing, but its wierd that the noise backs off when i apply the brake... Its still there with the brake but its alot quieter??
  17. Yeah did think that but put a bar in and engine is pretty sturdy... And the noise gets slower as i slow down and faster when i start to speed up a bit so thats why im thinking bearing or summet? Thanks for all the help so far lads! Im sure ill crack it when i get it in the workshop
  18. Faster than 30 dont notice it, cant figure if i can hear a whirl from the wheels or if im just listening too hard?? Cant feel thru the steering wheel, feel it rumbling and knocking under front somewhere
