  1. Weather supose to better tomorrow,I'm going to go get some better pictures then
  2. I should get print out's from before and after, I'm hoping for 190-200bhp. Be interesting to see what the first run is with all the mods and not tuned though! To be honest I'm expecting a power loss from standard to start with.....
  3. That's prety much what did, apart from I cut small strips of rubber to fit where the mudflaps fit to the body work to stop it rubbing. Black look slot better though! A wide arch kit would be perfect may look alittle over the too.
  4. I should just add - I work in a Honda dealer (if not already known)
  5. I'd love to find some arch extensions to be honest.....such a shame honda didn't do genuine mudflaps for civics with the VTI-S kit
  6. Unless anybody has any better ideas on solving this problem?? I searched high and low for arch extensions but as usual found nothing MB related
  7. Love what you did with the headlights!!! Awesome job
  8. I have a very similar set up on my MB ( type r cams, skunk 2 inlet, skunk 2 70mm throttle body, 4-1 manifold,de-cat,cold air induction kit, full exhaust) currently I'm running a stock B18C4 ecu and she runs sweet as a nut with no engine management light on,drives fine and all I did was plug in the vacuum valve for the 2 stage inlet which is all you'll have left over from changing the inlet manifold As for ECU though - on the 2nd of September Performance Auto Works are fitting me a Hondata S300 ecu with slight wiring mods and then tuning the whole car on a dyno.i would recommend getting yours re mapped as I do feel mine is slightly holding back due to the amount of mods carried out. Ultimately it will run better with a re map! I'll let you know how I get on and then I'll be in a better place to advice
  9. Despite everything that has been said I'd like to take this oppurtuinty to point out something that realy realy annoys me at work and that is the amount of people who I deal with on a day to day basis who read things on forums etc and either miss interpritate them or get them completely wrong. I've had arguments with customers over some of these facts and its all due to hear say and incorrect knowledge. DO NOT BELIVE EVERYTHING YOU READ ON THE INTERNET............
  10. Your not the first to say that about the mud flaps and I'm slowly getting the message we'll see....to be honest I'd take them off all together but I don't want the tyres flicks stuff down my car!
  11. I'd always preferred white but the MB I built before (the blue one) I didn't have the door shuts or engine bay done so I had it resprayed the same colour blue. Shame really cuz I did like my blue mb,however if I hadn't of crashed it then I never would of built my white one
  12. Yup same as that, paint was around 300 alone! No lacquer though (that makes things easier)
  13. Ok, I better get on that this weekend then, hopefully the weather will stay nice! Don't know why they didn't do it in championship white Simpo?? You can get normal vti's in pearl white but not champ - my thoughts when I had it sprayed where that every decent fast version of any model of Honda in that era where champ white! My decision of colour was easy because of this
  14. Thanks guys. The rear strut brace was for a DC2 Nik, had to modify it to fit mind but I'm prety sure it's making a big difference bearing in mind it's a 4 way mounted one front and rear braces where purchased from 933 Motorsport and front one only required minor adjustment to fit perfectly I love the MB's matt. As I've said before, best car Honda ever made so far! Plus there becoming more of rarity these days too....Specially tidy ones like on this site. As for the sale of my baby.........I've spent an absolute fortune on her and its taken me 18 months of my life to build. If I was to be perfectly honest I'd quite happily leave her in the garage and never even drive it,just polish her every weekend! But you never know when needs must Thanks again for all your comments, it's nice to talk to people who really appreciate what I've done and can share the same passion for these cars.
  15. very true Phil. id be interested to know how many where about to be honest. ive already been suprised that a few escaped UK shores and have ended up in Europe Sweet!!
  16. My Honda Civic MB6 1.8 VTI-S (Modified) Welcome to my pride and joy, this car was built in my garage starting in January 2012 and concluding in July 2013. I've always wanted to build a car from scratch, the bare shell all the way up and this was my opportunity to do it and do it my way. In 2011 I built a Civic VTI (the blue one) pretty much refurbished the whole car but didn't go anywhere near the attention to detail that I've paid on this one. Unfortunately I crashed that car (hence the pics at the start of the album) so from the ashes of that crash I stripped the car and kept all the bits scraping the old chassis. I then purchased a genuine Civic VTI-S from a guy in Salisbury, the car was in fairly good condition with no major damage and ran well - this I thought to my self would be the building block for my plan! Over the next 18 months the car was gutted and the whole chassis and body was rubbed down,re under sealed and prepped ready for paint. All the suspension and brakes where fitted before spraying with all components being carefully removed,re sprayed and re fitted or replaced with new or uprated parts. The vehicle was sprayed championship white, trailer'ed back to my garage and the rest of the rebuild continued..... The album shows a step by step guide to my journey through 2 winters which where not nice to work in! Dozens of cuts scars and self inflicted injure's and a very forgiving and understanding girlfriend to reach what I wanted to achieve. I've loved building her despite all the ups and downs and I'm kinda glad it's now done but with all projects - there never truly finished....... I hope you all enjoy my build thread There are more pictures on the link in the newbies section when i first said hey.... 17. Fantastic list so far though! Amazing how many ppl have entered into this considering surely at least half of the cars are now in heaven.....
  18. Sorry phil, my fault! I was on page 1 of the thread and replied lol! (Still getting use to the site)
  19. Love the front end on this small fog's go well and it all gel's together nicely! Nice.....
  20. I need to go to a location and get some better pic's but i will probably give it ago
  21. Ok no problem, they're a prety cool mob but as with all things MB some parts are extremely hard to get hold of or even made Thanks for the tip on the sub box though! I'm trying to keep weight to a minimal and so far my uprated speakers and amp'ed up 6x9's seem to be pumping fairly well
  22. Cool, that's what I had to do with mine. Wasn't sure if they had started making one for them MB yet as I never found one.
  23. Does anyone know of someone who will or does make projector lights for the MB?
