Krzys
Have a good sleep dude! Think the biggest problem with Honda's is the fluid boils quickly rather than the discs and pads giving up. That's what I keep reading anyway!
KiNK43
Is dot 5.1 ok to use??

I used this .... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motul-RBF600-100-Synthetic-Race-Racing-Rally-DOT-4-Brake-Fluid-500ml-/301221373000?pt=UK_Vehicle_Oils_Lubricants_Fluids&hash=item4622316448#ht_1568wt_1071 And i tell you what thats a great price too
Krzys
Yeah 5.1 is okay as long as it's not the silicon based (purple) sort? There's two types of 5.1 from what I can see on Opie Oils. @UnicyclingTom has Motul 5.1 fluid.
KiNK43
Cool cool. Yeah I know it's good stuff. But just always used 4 cus that's what's recommended. So do you need to flush the system of dot 4 first? Or can ya just bleed the 4 out the system and keep topping up with 5.1?
Krzys
Think you'd bleed it the normal way but keep topping up with 5.1, probably end up wasting some if the dot 4 fluid that comes out is clear as well as you probably not be able to tell what's what? burbleboy
I took @UnicyclingTom advice and used motul fluid. Mechanic in work gave me a syringe to drain fluid out of reservoir then advised to pump pedal 20 times per side whilst topping up with new fluid. 20 pumps of pedal seems a lot but that way guarantees a good flush!I don't have fade anymore but just disc problems as per this thread!
