Ignore me I've answered my own question. Anyone else experiencing the same problem look under the dash to the left of the clutch pedal there is a cable operated blower distribution module jobbie that leads back to the heater knobs. Upon manually fiddling with it the flaps are still operational but the switch doesn't move so the cable has indeed disconnected from said switch. Problem solved.

Looks better, I've got cree sidelights too, need to do my reverse and plate lights.
