a good idea but I think it's getting old and poorly hence the time to move on.nplusbits far too personalised for me. I like a blank canvas to do my own thing with. But tbh I think I am gonna start looking for one.2 points

I just want to tick off everything on my current shopping list for the MB3. Ticked off alloys on New Year's Day so I'm off to a good start! - Front lip - Alloys - Lowering springs - Short ram air filter - Exhaust backbox - Headunit and speaker upgrade - A general tidy up of the exterior Once I get the MB6 in a few months I'll have to add a shopping list for that too.2 points

Sounds more like a ball joint to me dude. When stationary they drop link isn't moving nor is the top mount. The newer ep shape civic have a plastic bearing in the top mount that rotates instead of a upper control arm. But we have the upper arm. So the knuckle rotates on two ball joints. Can cause squeaking and creaking and knocking over bumps etc.2 points

Don't sell the deck, you'll regret it. Went to view it in one of what?1 point

Plans for the VTi-S, fix it Jobs done so far: Fit an actual VTi-S Gearknob. New thermostat. Fix drivers seat recliner. Replace clock bulb. Fit new headunit. Replace dimmer switch. (Thanks Jake!) Replace hazard warning switch (that I broke). Replace drivers door window regulator. Remove water damaged headlining. Replace rear view mirror. Replace parcel shelf. Repaired center heater vent. Jobs still to do: Fit new headlining, once I can safely say the leak is dealt with. Fit MGZS 180 ARB. Replace front drop links. Replace RTA bushes. De-chrome front and back. Fit clear side repeaters (Thanks Nick!) Repair and fit new front grill. Fit new de-chromed, de-tangoed headlights. Replace backbox (baffle collapsed). Replace rear tyres. This is before I get around to mods! The cosmetic bits mentioned above I already have or just need some DIY modding1 point

agree with all above - ball joint was making funky noises on mine for ages before found out what it was. doesn't do it when it's jacked up because there's no weight on it.1 point

Wouldn't be a loss though mate really!! Even if it doesn't resolve it it'll still be nice spanking new ball joints!!1 point

might just sell the recaros, type r wheel, apexi, projectors, rocker cover, hens teeth fogs and carbon p***s and sell the car without those items still look the same from outside minus the projectors then the asking price should be not over the top lol1 point

He'll never make his money selling it whole. Plus it'd be hard to see someone else with something you put so much love into.1 point

Nice one jake sounds good you will always been tweaking her like me with TRINITYD she only done a few 100 miles and already I am thinking of some tweaks lol lol1 point
-
i have similar sypmtoms and agree with Jake (even though she passed her mot like it a couple or three weeks back) there may be very little or no visable movement when checking balljoints sometimes but they may still be knackered..Example i know my c.v joint is knackered as i can hear it is but it has no movement in the wheel so appears to be fine and passed its mot LOL1 point

No real updates on the MB3 so far, hoping to get the alloys on today though! Just waiting for Halfords to let me know when I can collect the trolley jack I ordered. Also had a little meet on Sunday in Northampton with some friends. Did 540 miles in my MB3 that day and it didn't miss a beat once. It's just developed a rattling noise under the car which I believe is due to a broken exhaust mount. Took the wheel trims off because I thought I'd have my alloy wheel nuts that morning. Nopes. Friends' Paseo, 325i and EK4. Didn't know the EG driver. Dirty car club. I'll get pics up once the alloys are on and the car has had a wash.1 point
