  8. My friend is a manager of Kwik Fit so I pay everything at £1 above cost. Pretty naughty, but it saves me a small fortune! This is includes a gearbox oil change and a front wheel bearing check. I've been told the calipers are new, not reconditioned units. Not sure where from as they are supplying parts! Discs and pads are Mintex. I'm helping my sister move house monday so I might have to just chuck her stuff on the kerb and whizz off to get the work done

  13. It's possibly due to the fact the springs were for a d16 engined car, so the extra weight on the front is making it sit lower.

  17. Shame they don't share wheel fitments. Might have to spray the MB3's ADR's in gunmetal to match.

  29. Hehehe! pmsl @ the amount of folk who thought I was being serious about the RWD!! lol .............................................................then again, hmmm, that would be sweeeeeeeet! Might look into this lol Sooo, went to get a new battery for Pauls fireblade, then went to get the new rear calipers for Ruby! Got a pair of fully reconditioned calipers from Pentland Parts in Edinburgh, so this will cure all the brake issues permenantly! Won't have them on in time for the meet, so will do these next week. Good thing is I get £72 back when I take my old knackered calipers back to Pentland! Result! Think that will be everything done mechanically on her, just needing general valeting/detailing now. Not sure if I'm gonna have time though to get the buffer onto her, so much to do! Oh, anyone got any VTIS chrono centre caps going for sale??

  32. If you find them wearing on the inside, camber arms can help with that, not just for making it look like the axle is bent I'd say my original comment was valid about the tyre size, would make a fair bit of difference but even if you had the same size as James you'd still need arch work done, suppose it was always going to be more work than you were wanting to do at the time! But priorities and all that!

  33. The headlights were a disaster lol. .After all that effort to find out they don't fit .. Well you can always sell them on and get the ones for mb that have already been De chromed.. love all the carbon wrap. . Great job doing it all so quickly. . 36. I had put the wheel (less tyre) on the car before hand and even that was sticking way out! Dinochips car looks like its not on crazy camber so was impressed when i saw someone else had put those wheels on! Wish it was mine but i was fed up with all the possible arch work etc! Dinochips car is lovely and deserved winner of COTM! More detailed info on wheel fitment/issues would really help others out though......

  38. That's a good price for all that work, she'll be running like a dream. As I said before, the water pump is a non-service item, so it only needs changing if it's broken/leaking.
