  1. Ok so update!! The infamous Mr Chandler came over today. And all I can say is wow!!! I started and hour or so before he arrived and him and I spent 7 hours on her today. Wash, Clay (several times it was that bad, bilt hamber) machine polish with multiple going overs, more claying and finally a wax. I'll let the pics talk ..... All set up, although it had to come down as nearly blew away ... Not many WIP pics as we were both busy most of the time .. But the man hard at work. Some reflection shots. And some of then together ... These were before polishing. Bit I like the shots. Photos do not do it justice. It's amazing. The finish is absolutely incredible to what it was. It has brought out the purple flakes so much. In the sunlight it absolutely comes to life. I can't express the gratitude for Alex coming over and doing the machining. Also helping to clay as I was behind on time! And the wax! Oh dear god, the waxes are amazing. We used a combination, I'll let Alex let you know what they were but they all smelt brilliant and the finish is fucking stunning. And it helps that he's a top bloke and we had a great day! Slightly jealous of your cleaning gear though, there is massive £££££ invested there and it shows. Top man, cheers mate.

  4. Can i just clear up some information here. Rear toe in / ^ \ increase stability in a straight line and under braking. Rear toe out \ ^ / decreases stability in a straight line and under braking but helps to arc the rear around the corner. OEM spec rear toe setting will be for saftey which is toe in. Setting the toe to 0 or toe out will handle better but be more twitchy. OEM spec camber settings typically have more camber at the back than the front, this is to induce understeer, as the front tyres will let go first. OP if you have -2 neg deg in the front you want the rear to have at least -2 neg deg or more at the back. Going past -4 neg deg actually starts to reduce rear grip again becuase you cant corner hard enough to use the contact patch fully. (depending on your suspension setup) Which if you want to reduce understeer, this is advantagous. check out the Touring cars stance to see this technique in action. Hope this helps

  32. I owe the previous owner an apology, the ISO fitting kit was stuck behind right behind the dashboard. So the head unit is in now, all fine and dandy. The green wire leads towards the hand brake, so I wonder if there was a flip TV/DVD player at some point. Bit of a pointless thread now. Haha but thanks for the advice.

  34. Gave the MB3 the MB6's old headunit. Nothing fancy but it's better than the cassette player that didn't even match the interior lighting.

  35. Have you checked the silly things like sump plug bolt tightened up or the sump bolts themselves?

  36. Look what I collected today. Aaaand it's already in the car. Set the display colour to a similar orange to the gauges. Should look amazing at night. And yes that's a USBeetle. And a short video. How can a headunit alone produce this much bass?!
