  2. Right anyway thought I would let everyone know, I fitted the Meister R's and LCA's and MGZS180 ARB this morning, well happy so far with the results, I have kept them at the same height as the DC2 fronts and matched the rears as they were too low before. so far 10/10 over the old clunking suspension, did notice when I was doing the job I have a knackered Track rod end one side but next jobs to fit my DC2 steering rack and im buying new ones anyway. will post pics when it stops pi55ing it down.

  3. oh yes, its me. finally making a build thread from my deck! this is going to take a while seeing as iv owned the car now for 8 months! but here goes, few pics of when i picked it up and though the stages of work iv had done, and to the most recent jobs iv got done and or waiting to fit. Morning after i picked it up big silly 17s stupid stickers. good base but not my cuppa. thing drove like a sack of what not so got the tracking etc looked at. it was all out. no surprise. i put it back on the standard wheels. then noticed it needed to be a bit lower so i wound down the crap ebay coilovers. few lil things i did next. took the rear wiper off and bunged the hole, took the rear end apart and gave it a good jet wash i remember it looked like it had lived off road! NEXT UP was its big trip to the bodyshop. originally had gone in for a small list of bits but my mate who owned the place sat with me having a chat and we decided on a full respray and loads of other bits. absolute ledge! lots of pics of the time there. dents sorted rear smoothed more dents had half the car painted then noticed the paint was to far gone to match so re did the whole car here was the difference painted front all back on with gloss black grill and satin bump strips weather strips were all messed up. and the afternoon i took it home

  5. I do mind about the picture actually. Why do you always have to steal things? Gosh. Your car came out almost as well as mine after the detailing session! Also sorry about the door.

  7. Well it was nice yesterday but I couldn't be bothered doing anything but its even nicer today so got outside, washed and waxed the car and took some pictures! Here's how our drive looks like at the moment, sold the green aerodeck to some guy who wanted the engine for his mb2 and it needed hundreds of ££ spent for MOT and when we were down south seeing relatives near Guildford we got a Honda logo for my brother as he is learning to drive! its 1.3 and supersonic blue and pretty rare, I always think they look like a squashed ek at the front and a starlet at the back. and this last pic is to show where they pushed the roof out if you can see it and im loving my new windscreen because the last one was covered in chips and generally needed replaced anyway.

  11. So got round to fitting the d2's today and what a difference, after feeling the the difference in the d2's I would never put sleeves on standard shocks again and would just buy proper ones to begin with

  13. Arrived the other night, got stuck on the truck trying to get it off! The exhaust centre pipe silencer was catching the truck bed after a few tries managed to get a plank of wood to support the backbox side enough to get it past the dip in the truck bed frame. Gear knob feels huge compared to my early spec VTiS metal one so ordered a couple of cheap bits. Skunk 2 replica gearknob and Spoon replica reservoir socks. Only aesthetic things so wasn't too fussed about buying original items as both items were under £20 delivered.. Bought some Climair wind deflectors for the front (£49.50), team heko ones are a third of the price but don't look or fit as good in my opinion. Don't like the rear ones due to the design of the split rear window so just the fronts. Haven't had much time with the car due to working long hours, gonna get time over the weekend to look over it and see what else I can do visually, not fussed about any performance mods as its my daily driver at the moment. Possible future plans are carbon wrap on dash trims, red stitched leather gear surround, ek9/dc2/atr momo steering wheel, paint the calipers all round, broadway mirror, smoked headlights, lightly tinted windows all round (this may have to wait a while as winter is coming now). Few other bits and pieces

  18. It's been 3 months since my last update so time to get this topic back on the road. Hopefully things will pick up speed now that i've changed jobs and with that my "garage" has changed from this: ...to this: After 6 years of working for the Helsinki Youth Department i asked for a transfer to this moped/car workshop. Basically it's a place where anybody aged 16 to 23 can come and fix their rides for almost free of cost, and if needed get assistance from our team of 4 instructors. We've got a lift, tire machine, welding equipment in addition to a arsenal of quality tools etc. so it's almost as well stocked as any commercial garage. All this funded by taxpayer money. Even though i'm nowhere near a qualified mechanic (yet!), i'm learning from the others as we go AND can use the facility for my own projects before and after hours and on the weekends. So i'm pretty stoked about that! More updates soon to come.
