  2. Annoyed I can't go to japfest this year however I cannot miss child birth so I can't complain The Mrs waddled off to a girl lunch so I arranged to go for a summer drive with Steve and his mx5. This 5 started out stock, then Steve turbod it, then ripped everything out for a rotary conversion, then sold it, then bought it back this year with a shot rotary lump and now it's back to a stock 1.6 4 pot on throttle bodies. Sounds rad. Anyway we went for a drive down some a and B roads into the country. I love that within 5 mins of my house you've escaped into countryside only for it to be ruined by the sound of Vtec. I say ruined, it sounds insane this thing does. We pulled over to take a couple pics on the way back, I have managed to knacker my handbrake though. Not snapped a cable and I've tried adjusting it behind the lever but no good

  3. It's usually down to worn piston rings, faulty injectors or spark plugs or very high fuel pressure........have a compression test carried out and have the fault rectified before you change the engine oil. Doing short runs on choke could also be a reason as would lack of servicing. Hopefully a good engine service will rectify the problem

  5. All right scrap the above, I spun out yesterday when i saw the numbers on eibach springs , but downloaded the eibach parts guide and the individual numbers lined up for the MB civic. The shocks however appear to be a bit of a miss match, the fronts are Delphi with L 51602 ST3 E11 written which im pulling up as a 1997 1.4 5 door civic. The rear have either RPD102930 on piston and RPD 108930 on bottom of fork which is vague on Rimmerbros just says MG Rover but seems to be trowing up as rover 45 1.8 16v rear shocks else where. Sounds like with above ^ I's be better off putting the springs on the MGZS shocks I allready have. Anyone got any opinions about above shocks?
