  1. I too suspect you still have a fault e.g. pinched or crimped wire or indeed the new sensor might well be open circuit ? Anyway, here's a procedure that might help : Locate and short out your ABS diagnostic plug with a jumper cable (there's a diagnostic connector for the ABS unit under the glove box) Turn ignition switch on but don't start the engine When the abs light comes on, press the brake pedal As soon as the abs light turns off, release the brake pedal As soon as the abs light comes on, press the brake pedal again As soon as the abs lught turns off, release the brake pedal The abs light will flash twice indicating there are no more fault codes and the light is reset Turn ignition switch off, remove the jumper, abs light should be out If at the end of the above procedure the abs light flashes 3 times, you still have a problem with your abs and the light will not reset until all faults are taken care of. 3. I'm back! After a mot nightmare of 2 months, 5 checks and 10 different repair requirements the deck has been back on the road for a few weeks now, has seen track time and events and even obtained some long sought after upgrades... Too bad you can't see inside, because then you'd notice a pair or something with 6 letters, starting with a R and ending with a O in the cabin . Or then i can just post a picture: As soon as i passed mot, i once again, for the umpeenth time, searched for used Recaro Speeds for sale in Finland. And sure enough these had just popped up here in Helsinki! The first pair i've seen for sale in over a year so i didn't hesitate a bit. Picked up the phone, and managed even to shed a bit off the price and got them for a measly 350€ (£300). Fitment was a doddle thanks to m-civic specific rails i had bought already years ago. They're in pretty good condition taking into consideration they're over 20 years old, and i'm suprised how comfortable they are! Not to mention the lower sitting position and excellent thigh support. Track tested, heaps better than oem's. I had been dreaming about black Speeds (DC2 style) but those just aren't for sale over here, and i'm not ready to pay for international shipping. But now that i have these, i think the color combo is even better! One of the best upgrades i've ever done. Super happy . So i mentioned i had some mot issues? Well here's some of the things i had to fix: - dragging rear brake - rear brake pads - left rear abs sensor - dashboard lights - oil leak - handbrake - O2-sensor, dizzy cap and rotor - loose lower control arm bolts (happy he noticed those!) Last year passed with flying colours, needless to say i was a bit shocked this time! But at the end of the day, all of the things that needed attention weren't that big of a deal and i managed to fix everything by myself. I guess this is what it means owning a 18 year old car. But still every time i see it parked on the street i think "damn, if that wouldn't be mine, i'd be so jealous" .

  4. Yeah mate, same here. Never know when or where youre gonna get a flat (Roxy excellent example) so good to have a spare wheel there just incase. Was saying to Gayle that its wrong that car manufacturers are allowed to design/sell cars without a spare wheel nowadays........to me its an important safety feature. Stiff all this weight saving ballony they keep spewing out, its all about cutting costs!

  5. Been caught cleaning it! And Alex polishing krzys headlights. Couldn't believe the difference! Simply Japanese was a bloody good show, I got sun burnt quite nicely! Covered 670 miles, and it's really comfy to drive, decent fuel consumption as well. Just over 30mpg. Oh, also spotted an old friend at simply Japanese aswell! The new owner has got some big plans for her, he also saved her from the cutters torch quite literally.

  6. Glad I got a full size spare bolted to the back of mine. When I had the insignia (courtesy car) that had a can and no wheel. Was all ways at the back of my mind when I took it to Derbyshire....

  8. Pretty pumped now. Got all the gadgets going In. Electronic boost controller and 3 port solenoid has turned up. So will have a faster spool and more power again soon. Am waiting for my injectors to come back from ultrasonic cleaning tho. In a bid to stop hunting idle. The hunting has virtually disappeared with an overly rich idle. So suspected that one injector is leaning out and more fuel has brought it up to an acceptable level.

  10. Quick update really, It needs it's brakes doing so I'll be sticking some EBC Discs and maybe EBC Yellow pads on for a bit more brake bite, I didn't want to change bits on it although my eBay watch list is now full of exhausts for it which are cheap but the induction kits are ridiculously priced Next up though is to remove the badges from the rear as it'll just look like a 140 as it's not got the Dynamic Pack sadly and then maybe some alloys for it then perhaps lower it It's ridiculously impractical although I've done 1500 miles in it since I got it already somehow My wallet hates me now although driving it makes you realise why you bought it, It even causes other Celica owners to wave at you like lunatics until you realise why they're waving, I've had a few do it and I just thought they were nuts

  11. Hello all, Long time no see... Been busy buying my first house and getting everything settled. Just thought i'd stick a little update up as its been quite some time! I'm having this lot fitted at the moment - B18C6 cams, Skunk2 Dual Valve springs, Titanium retainers, Skunk2 LMA's and some ARP head bolts (not pictured). Getting it all done while my head is being refreshed as the valve stem seals have had it! I've also gone and got myself a Hondata S300 V3 but haven't quite worked it out yet Hopefully boost will be coming soon
