  3. Rust is indeed not the problem over here, so I think I have to sand it, put a lot of putty on the hood and do my best to make it flat again, then put some (black) wrapping on it. Same story for the roof, let it spray is an option I consider later because it's expensive if you want to do it good. On the other hand, I bought the car really cheap (800 Euro) because of the hail damage, so a little invest to make it good is to consider, the car is like new on the inside etc.

  4. Thanks Dave, Yes I found out that the model is becoming rare, I've bin looking for a new hood because of hail damage, but I didn't found one yet. The starlet I own for 7 years now, bought in bad condition, but made it shine again.

  5. Only got a couple of pics so will try and explain it! Oh and its 3 bolts, not 2 lol So you need to remove the ashtray/lighter unit from car You will also need to add a spacer/packing between the cupholder and the ashtray unit. I used hard foam from the box my DD head unit came in. Oh and you need to trim the rear lip of the ashtray unit off (can see the rough cut I did here, i did then trim it all neatly!) This sits up against the rear of the wee cubby tray at bottom of dash, so without trimming it the cupholders won't allow the ashtray unit to go back in place. The cupholder has mounting points at the front. Sadly, the way the ashtray unit is, you can only use one of those holes. Drill a hole in the ashtray unit inline with where the cupholder front mounting point is (this is on the same side as the lighter. On the ashtry side the hole aligns with void so can't be used. Secure the cupholder to the ashtray unit using longish but small diameter bolts, one at the front and two at the rear. One of the rear ones needs a hole drilled (and countersunk so the screw clears the drawer when it opens/closes), the other has the countersunk hole (you'll see it easily once the cupholder is open) we spoke about earlier.

  6. One of these tried to beat me away from the lights on the way back (and was planning on cutting me up as their lane didn't go off the roundabout). I wasn't racing, as I didn't know they were going that way, but I did set it away to hear the new exhaust. Left him behind... Just looked at the specs.. There's life in the old b series yet The guy in the fn civic behind me at the lights was less than impressed with being cut up by him though.
