  2. Well, time to update this. This week I took the car to the shop. At first I had only the rear arms bushings to replace, but there where also other 2 from the LCA's and another one in the front. Necesary maintance, car now doesnt make "old bed" noises. After that I decided to change the OEM shifter for a K-tuned style one. Here's a pic of both. The ball from the aftermarket shifter was bigger, so I ported the frame where this one goes. And this is the result. The handling is really nice and shorter, I like it a lot On Friday I went to the scrap, there was a new EG5 and I wanted to take some goodies, but they didnt allowed me, car was reserved for owners friend. So I checked a couple of MB's and I took only a tail light because mines it was glued... but the big surprise of the day was when a friend that works on a Honda dealer called me to gave me a present. A client left a MA9 to send to scrap and he took all the parts he could for me. Really happy with this, I replaced a lot of parts damaged from others in better shape.

  3. Hope you're all doing alright, 2 Months go pretty damn quickly these days! I did end up buying some degreaser but still havnt got round to doing anything yet.. Some progress elsewhere though - got the rear strut bar fitted and cut the carpet so it fits back in. Pretty pleased with how its turned out, also got some pipe lagging so I can put a bike in the car without scratching it up! Now, I was looking through the last MOT and noticed the rear trailing arms bushing were advisories and the rear drums are looking pretty crusty.. man maths suggests what else for it but do a rear disk conversion (obviously). So after looking for absolutely ages and getting radio silence from loads of breakers, I got lucky and the postie delivers this little load of parts.. (The rear ARB I had before but finally got round to derusting and priming it). MB6 master cylinder, MB6 front calipers, MC1 rear trailing arms, MC1 lower control arms MC1 rear calipers (260mm) I also got some black front seatbelts so should I ever fit some bucket seats I won't have cream belts and black seats! Still up to get is a non-ABS 40/40 brake prop valve. Looking at the parts fishe, my brake prop valve would work alright on a 260/260mm setup (an aerodeck uses this valve with this setup), but im not sure about how it would work with 280/260mm and dont fancy risking it! As my car didnt have ABS from the factory I cant use a MB6 valve unfortunately. I still need to replace all the bushes / derust and paint everything before it goes on the car and that'll take some time. Also in the works is a new 2" exhaust mid section with new centre box. The exhaust is absolutely doing my head in and making me even more deaf! I'm hoping the smaller diameter pipe and a better box will quieten it abit. Cheers, Dan

  6. Cheers Dave. Defo worth getting replacements - oem parts like that are only going to get harder to find (well that's my excuse when stockpiling, I mean buying parts.. )

  7. Nice wee haul of parts mate! I'm wanting to get DD's lca bushes done so might buy some replacement arms and refurb them and fit new bushes to them.

  8. TBF the Standard Honda pads are decent mate. Thats good to know we can still get bthem from Honda as I need to order up some new retainers for DD, so will just get the pads at same time. Do you know if the pads come with the shims as i cant remember?

  9. Sorry for the late reply mate. Been a long long time since I fitted mine, but from what I can remember there's only really one way it can all go together - I think. I might be finally fitting the brake pad clips today so I'll have a look.

  10. Well, motor factors said that all of the 7 catalogues for all the big manufacturers have the same part Went to the local Honda dealer, and they confirmed that the clips only come with the pads, so a set of pads was ordered - it's not like I'm not going to need another set of pads ever Have to be sent from Belgium though, so will be end of the week.

  11. I know, problem is I looked on lings at the start to get the part number and they don't even list them as a separate part, only with pads which of course are now showing un-flipping-available. Going to have one more try with the motor factors, then probably get in touch with Tegiwa or Japserviceparts to see if they can help.
