If you are rebuilding the engine you are best to bore the block and use over size pistons by 0.5 mm to insure and perfect fit the standard piston size is 81mm so you will need 81.5 mm . i would go with a 12;1 piston as there is no point changing them if you are are only uping the compression a little . I would use a type r head if you are after 200 bhp a the standard c4 head would need alot of work to get that sort of power , cheaper way is to use a b16 head and inlet manifold . Rich.

  4. No he means the rev cut when you are on the limiter. I bet its set at like a 500 rpm cut so when you hit the limiter untill the engine drops 500 rpm it will not rev up again so its like you say it hits a brick wall but it can be resit to what ever you want right down to 25 rpm drop so the limiter is super fast . i could set that for you . Rich.

  17. You need a friendly mot tester mate i can get it done for you for £50 and you are not to far away from me . Rich.
  18. Best thing you can do is measure up the bolt holes and see if they are the same stud pattern . Any thing can be made to fit if you are will to spend the money and time on it . Rich.

  21. There are loads of kits out there , just dont use a cheap turbo . as you will have nothing but problems and what ever they say nothing fits so if you are not the sort of person to sort out mechanical problems and be able to make stuff its best if you take it to a tunner for the work . Rich.
  22. If you have got 93,000 miles from a clutch you have done really good . If it is the clutch the engine does not have to come out ,the clutch replacment is a 3 hours job so price will depend on hourly labour rates . as for the new clutch you will be looking £150 -£200 for that. Rich.
  23. £300 for a custom exhaust system is about right , but be careful as they tend to use mild steel and cut the flanges off your old system to make the new one up , make sure you ask they are making you a full new system from stainless steal . Rich.
  24. I would change the slave cylinder first as its a easy fix if its just that , if that does not sort it go for a new clutch . Rich.
  25. Standard fuel pump and injectors max out at 230 bhp at 3psi of boost. and any n/a build you are doinv will not make that . so all you may need is a fuel pressure regulator. Rich.
