New shoes? Nice. As if someone nicked your rims man, did they do any damage to the car?
-
buy a car with a turbo already is my advice! you may buy a kit for 1500-2000 but you will end up spending spending spending more to get it right until your fed up and skint. I dont know about yours, but my mb6 is starting to get a little rusty now, so unless money isnt an object for you it seems like wasted money... sorry not trying to be too negative, we'd all love an MB6 turbo for sure, but weighing it all up I just cant see how its worth it. you only have to look at what cars are on the market at the moment which have mb6 turbo perfomance to see that.....

put some lube on it?

yeah i just took the hose off the breather and put a cutting off a pair of tights over the valve and the rubber tubing! nice and cheap. I like the smell anyways!!! I think the problem its more likely to be that exhaust fumes are coming from the backbox and getting inside car when stationary. smells/fumes always find a way in somehow..

I was just thinkin am I supposed to have an aircon pipe there or something.
-
Haha I wouldn't be surprised if my car was meant to have something there. It's about the width of a broomstick

Yeah my sump is soggy as s**t! I used to notice it a lot when stationary there are some holes in the cars bodywork next to and below battery, so I guess they will allow a bit of engine smell through? Mine are blocked off to try and reduce cab noise and I don't seem to get the problem of smelling fumes anymore. Not sure if there anything in that but just tryin to help!

since having my zs suspension fitted i have a squeak from the back, might check everything around the boot/speakers for looseness!

I have a decat and used to get smell in the car like this, have noticed that in warmer weather or after ive given it a good run, the smell of the exhaust fumes changes, might be this? as long as the oil level isnt dropping and shes running ok and no obvious leaks i wouldnt worry about it? also do you smell it more when stationary at traffic lights for example?
-
Sorry just realised I said ur lights work
-
Sounds like dead battery, I always leave my lights on and there's no alarm to tell me.

Each to their own I guess, think I'll leave mine standard! Did you mean to stick the carbon pointing the opposite way? I did that by mistake on bits of mine and had to do half of it again! -
