    Lacquer

Well, I let my paint dry and then lacquered and it didn't turn out very well.
  2. Yeah that's another option, you could space out between the b pipe and the rear section. But as @Krzys said, if your going down the route of a new b pipe, you might as well hold out for that.
  3. Or skunk2 the inlet and just have vtec cross over ... Then it'll come in at 4500.

Yeah I think thats the general opinion @simpo !! Wen speaking with Endless, handing a standard p30 over, the charge is £65 returned, to have it made into a mappable state.

Cheers for the input Jake. I had a telephone conversation with endless today and exchanged a couple of emails with Daz. We were right, p30 is as good Thanks for the ore warning on htune. Will bear that in mind. Although it will in all likelihood go to endless. Purely on their previous experiences and customers. That is however, along time off yet
  6. Was pretty shocked when i saw it on FB

Yeah i had been reading about fiddling with the map .. Although this is something im not too keen on.. As much as id want to .. Running the setup im going to eventually run, i wouldnt want to fiddle with it for fear of doing something wrong! I have however had a very good converstaion with the chaps and Horizon Motorsport/DNR and have been recomended that the p30 is actually a little better than the 28 .. Or rather it is easier to program in data logging etc etc etc .. And the cost of sending them a p30 and them chipping/soldering etc is actually very very reasonable .. So, im hoping this one ive found continues to go un-noticed and i'll pick it up for a steal
  10. Welcome along mate! Glad to see you made it over! Will be interested to see this progress, especially as you have a hole burning a whole in your pocket
  11. I have to say, @DAVEMB2 I've installed alot of pads that aren't quite the right fitnent fresh out the box. It's always worth checking to make sure the pads actually move freely in the carrier.

Well if briefly spoken to a tuning house and apparently the 28,30&72 are all the same and can be mapped the same too. And apparently Neptune over Crome. Thoughts?? @noodels @KiNK43 @10000rpm (they are the ones I know have similar)

    ECU help

@simpo yeah that's what I've read, I'm just uncertain of whether the p30 has the same tuning/chipping capabilities as a 28/72. Don't want to buy it, go to do it and then realise I'm fighting a loosing battle! Told you, not letting on the plans yet they are long long LONG term plans anyway, just if in can get it cheap now, I will

Oddly I found that website today in my searches. Good little read. I think I'll first need to decide on what one to get, then go with what chip and soldering etc needs to be done. I have gone through noodles, pretty sure Naz is running a p28 too. Think they are the favourable ones. I would be inclined to do it myself rather than buy one already done. Purely for cost. It's outrageous paying £120+ quid for one already done.

Wouldnt need to run IABs anyway ... But the restriction is concerning .. Issue with them then ??
  17. Phil certainly wouldnt have sold you anything duff mate.. Will almost certianly be the case that the rest of his system was custom too.. which is why it'll be sitting differently on yours.

Ok party people. ECU's. Not telling why, but at some point I'm going to need something I can program. Aside from the obvious standalone units (which I couldn't justify spending the money on) these are the options I've seen. P28 P30 P72 All need to be chipped and the one with the most reviews is probably Crome. All are also obd1 (I think) Haven't quite got my head around what harness I'll need as it's my understanding our p9k's are obd2 but with obd1 connectors (anyone confirm!?) I've read that a lug needs to be trimmed?? So what I'm wanting to confirm is basically do they all do the same job? I've seen lots of p72's & p28's going for considerable money, but I've just seen a p30 (unchipped) going for a good price.

    Top speed!!

Pics looks shakey Mr Broon ! lol Ive hit just shy of 130, speedo indicated on a dash to the hospital .. Along an autobahn, on a private road
  20. ooo i cant comment on that ... I did 6 last time :-/
  21. What is the rest of your system? Standard, aftermarket? That is more than likely the difference.
  22. While we're kind of on this subject ... Skunk2 inlet, obv deletes the IABs .. Will a normal ecu comensate enough, or do I really need to go down the route of p28 and map before putting it on?
