  1. My rear speakers aren't working. Speakers look fine and head unit is new, so I'm guessing I have a break in the cable somewhere. Can anyone tell me what route the cable for the rear speakers takes through the car? Will save me pulling up all the trim trying to find it! Ta
  2. Nice, much better than the standard beady eyed fogs on the VTi I think.
  3. I had no idea you could get arm rest cup holders on the M. If you ever write up your will, please put me down for them...
  4. Every time I see a retrim thread I cringe as they are usually hideous garish affairs. But this one is something else. Very nice indeed, it looks like a factory option as it fits in so well with the rest of the car. I'd paint my car blue just to have that interior!
  5. Top fabrication work there. Love the diy brake stopper, better than most of the off-the-shelf options ive seen.
  6. Cheers, I did try that site before hand as it happens (think I even got the link from a previous post you made!). That's primarily what led me to suspect they would be a bit too much like rubber bands on a button.
  7. I've seen a set of Sprint SW96 with tires for a fair price, but as the tires fitted are 45 profile I'm concerned they will: a: Look crap on my standard springs and b: Ride like train wheels. Am I right?
  8. Realised I'd not updated this. Anyway, rather embarrassingly, thus turned out to be down to nothing mote than an under inflated tyre. I hang my head in shame.
  9. I was about to get a new thermostat, however I think it might just be overcooling in my case. After some experimentation, pootling around town it gets up to temp fine and the revs do drop down when on idle. But a sustained cruise at speed seems to be ramming so much air through the rad that the temp is dropping too far and as soon as you come to a halt the autochoke is back on again. Might trial blocking off the rad as others have had some success.
  10. Extend the seatpost and wedge it in upright.
  11. Hmmm... So it sounds like it probaby isnt for the MB at all. Seen the mounting points for it in a 'deck which it looks like it belongs to. Might have to mod some mounting points into my boot floor for it. Edit: sorry Tom, I'm making it fit mine whether it wants to or not!
  12. Right, well gave the uj a good greasing, but the issue remains. Mainly occurs at low speeds/low revs. How easy is it to slip the belt off the ps pump as a quick way to determine if its that at fault?
  13. Did you get anywhere with this? Mine does the same even when warmed up, its on my list of things to fix but not gotten round to it yet.
  14. Exceptional car, very clean looks. Only thing i dislike is the Type-R badge on the back.
  15. Cheers, had a look underneath and looks pretty straightforward but ran out of time today. Did manage to wash & wax it, clean out the rear arches and have removed and cleaned the rubber strips. Will let them fully dry overnight, then grease them up and refit. Paint has some swirling in places and some light scratches near the door handles presumably where the prev owner had their keys in their hand as they opened it. Tempted to invest in a good machine polish, have to see how obsessive i get.
  16. Yes good point. Do they just clip off or are they screwed on?
  17. Cheers, the first mod I really want to get done is MGZS shocks and ARB as that will improve both the handling and looks in a single hit. I quite like the original wheels especially when the car sits a bit lower, but I'd also be tempted by a decent set of TE37 replicas.
  18. Cheers rich, will give it a look.

  20. I found what appears to be an optional cargo net in my boot when i bought the car, but i cant work out how it attaches... No pics at the mo, but it has 4 hooks and an elasticated top and bottom. Cant see where it attaches in the boot.
