  1. It is unless you have small enough hands to get in through the gap where the headunit goes, I couldn't twist it, plus I had to use some force getting the LED bulb into place so it was easier to remove it completely from the center console, which by the way is held in with a screw each side! Think the screws took a fair chunk of time on their own
  2. Did some more today, replaced the clock bulb, tested the new headunit and routed the DAB cable and the hands free microphone cable to where I wanted them. The radio all works but will take me some time to learn how to use it properly, my current one I can set it up from scratch in two minutes from powering it up All that's left is to remove some material from the back of the aperture so that there's enough space for the cabling when the headunit sits properly in place! This is the DAB aerial, just need to peel off the sticky back to fix it in place on the windscreen. The mic in it's new place next to the rear view mirror. This is how I left the car tonight, too cold and dark now to get much more done!
  3. Pretty much, not that I have any use for them
  4. Exhausts ruin me so that's good to know! The drone on a long drive that gets on my nerves!
  5. Yeah, the firm got back in touch after sending them an email about the random earphones, they put it in the headunit box and not told me, no labels or anything At least it's there though!
  6. Someone bring a microwave and we can have nuked rustlers
  7. I went to a mates house and showed him, the screw was getting quite rounded so we've just drilled the head off! Will replace the other one with a bolt and leave what's left of this one in place. Just left one screw holding the center console in place for tonight. No radio at present though but if tomorrow is dry then I'll be able to crack on with cutting the plastic at the back and get the new headunit plumbed in!
  8. Did some more destroying today Hazard light switch has bit the dust, well the surround has but it still works, ordered another one off eBay for a couple of quid so I'm not fussed! Just need to get that stubborn screw out and the console will be free! Slow progress but progress none the less!
  9. Sweet! Looking forward to some pictures and a new project thread!
  10. Leftover pigs in blankets for lunch, awesome!
  11. Nice one! Looks good in the pictures!
  12. Naughty, but still an interesting conversion, I wonder how much if any better performance it gives over the B18...
  13. Careful there dude, Nuremburg and Nurburg are two actual places about 60 miles apart. Common mistake people make Is the exhaust loud at all? Looks awesome! Fantastic power with the injectors and other fueling issues dealt with!
  14. No frost to deal with parked there! Nice and quiet by the looks of it too!
  15. Both very different and very cool!
  16. Balls forgot about the order, there goes that plan, suppose I'll be back working on the M then
  17. I might leave them out then once I get the second screw out then! Cheers Dave! Left the car full of tools and bits of interior all over the place
  18. Like what you've done with the custom airbox! I remember mine suffering with the heat soak quite badly too! Hope this helps it!
