  1. So yesterday I decided I was going to head out for a drive, figured that because I was up early and the weather was so good that I'd go to dynodaze to see what little power the Accord is making! How I wish I hadn't bothered! It was the start of a nightmare day car wise! So I pootled down the M1 nice and steady, all is well. Then as I come off and get onto the M69 I notice some spray on the front windscreen, there were no cars in front of me so figured it can't be water spray. Anyway as I left the M69 shortly after I noticed I could barely see out of the rear window! Not good! So I quickly dropped into a layby on the A5, oil light then started flickering so I turned her off, got out and this was the state of the back end! Not good.....so I popped the bonnet and could see/smell it straight away, oil pouring out of the engine, looks like the leaky sump now has a decent size hole in it, well that's what I'm hoping, haven't been underneath to look properly! By the time my dad had turned up to tow me back home there was a second pool of oil about twice the size of the one pictured above! So my nice drive was cut short after 45 miles, plus a 45 mile tow back! Really disheartend at the minute as it feels like I'm having a really hard time with cars the last 6 months! I did however order a brand new sump for her last Tuesday which has yet to arrive! If that is the cause of the problem I'll be happy with that at £23! Anyway, it doesn't end there, I had planned to go out last night to meet up with friends, I get into mothers Corsa, ignition on, turn the key.....nothing, nadda, squat! Bloody things only just had a starter motor a few months ago! So now the only working cars at home is the Saab, which isn't insured and my old mans E300 TD Merc that he's meant to be selling
  2. The Accord is great, potter about and it'll do about 330 to a tank, drive it like you stole it and you get the same.....did I mention that pottering about is using about 70% of the throttle most of the time anyway? Lack of powerzzzs!!
  3. Krzys

    Mileage!

He used the runway from Fast & Furious 6 Bloody hell that's good! 115k on the F reg Accord!
  4. That's something I've noticed quite a bit, proper beaters pulling up and stunning birds getting out of them, what the fudge!?
  5. I was the fastest swimmer, only perk to them being webbed!
  6. I once ruined a Clio on purpose, serves my mother right for chosing it because she liked the colour, she never drove it once she found out that it didn't even have power steering!
  7. Hell yeah, even more special when it's properly JDM and on the right instead of the left! Why aren't all cars like that? Makes life easier!
  8. A quick guess from me would be either there's no power going to it or the motor has died, if you can get hold of a multi metre and check voltages that would be a good starting point. If you do need a motor there's a member on here (10000rpm) who breaks M's for parts, should be able to send you a second hand one out cheap!
  9. Did you bleed the brakes when you changed the discs and pads? Could be worth checking the servo too?
  10. Yep! Plus all the looks and smiles you get for driving something retro too! Puts a smile on my face! Plus I can bully anyone I like as let's face it, doesn't matter if I knock my £150 motor into somebody's £40k+ Audi or BMW, I have no reason to back out of a situation like that
  11. Indeed! Not pretty is it?!
  12. Minor detail though, Tom doesn't run, he loves to see people's reactions!
  13. It's all happening! Got to love it when a plan comes together! I've got that feeling at the minute with a few things going on!
  14. Nice one! Multicar policies seem to be the way forward! We've got four cars with four drivers insured in our household! Though my younger brother can only drive one of the four cars but myself and my parents can drive all four! Much cheaper than traditional policies! Also when I changed over from the Saab which I had paid £650 back in April, I'm getting a £220 refund, which covers the tax disc for the Accord!
  15. I was a drunken BBQ encounter......I sh1t you not!
  16. Getting all four the same size would be a good start Glad you've managed to sort it, guess there's a lesson to be learnt, always, always check your purchase upon delivery!
  17. Epic job with the loom so far! Gutted about your foot though dude! Bet you're itching to get some work done on it!?
  18. He sinned in a past life!
  19. And even the most mardy cowbags of drivers smile when they see them!
  20. Unless you've done the sleepy eye mod which won't hold a lady as well!
  21. This bonnet has the potential to combine the two!
