    then i really would not worry mate in that case, all this water recently maybe a quick blast of penetrating fluid to shut it up until you do your suspension in a fortnight or so ??

    i would say that it will be okay to wait a couple of weeks but as you prob already know you can not tell one car it could last months and another it could fail ten mins later, best bet check to see how much play and exactly how bad a condition they are in and decide if you think they will last or not...

    our engines do use oil but as you said yourself the better the quality you will find you use less but whatever i would not worry about it though...

    If you take it easy mate you will be okay to go to get help, you may find it pulls a bit when you brake so go slow easy braking and you will be fine As you say you really could do with getting the other pads in so i would find someone who can help and go for it mate
