I'm hoping so guys! Iv got Monday to myself and il try find sometime today and tomorrow. Wanting to take my time and make sure I do it all right.

Nice build mate! What colour are your fan blades? Think that colour would go well with my silver mb.

Wee update... Just picked my head up from the workshop it's had a very minimal skim, two new exhaust valves, new stem seals, pressure tested and chemically steam cleaned. They also ordered me in new oil and filter, timing belt, tensioner, water pump and a full top end gasket set. Hoping to get on it this weekend if I can set aside some time. Also bought some yellow film for tinting my fog lights. Still not sure if I like the mesh grille, think I prefer the standard slatted grille. Hopefully more updates over the weekend.

Cheers guys! Will look into getting a set purchased!

Hi guys, hoping to have my freshly skimmed and rebukt head back for Friday, wondering what spark plugs and leads you guys would reccommend? Cheers

Car looks nice on the new wheels mate! Lower and a vtis front lip would make her look really mean
-
Yeah glad it came off,one less thin to worry about. Il be getting all the valve stem seals done may aswell whilst it's off as they're common for going on the b series.

Well had another go today after work. Brought back a 3/4" drive ratchet which is a bit of a beast! So much so that the socket wouldn't fit through my home made tool at this point I was pretty annoyed so decided to get angry and deploy mongo strength with my 1/2" bar! Heard a big crack, and then again, but the bolt came off I think it must have been out on with thread lock previously as there was evidence of it on te thread. Had a text from my mate at work who says I'm needing two new valves. He is going to go ahead and order them and replace the valve stem seals too. Will try pop in tomorrow and see how they're getting on.

Haha maybe.

Yep tried that, same method that got our fiestas one off but not this one.

It's a regular thread I believe, not a left hand thread. Used a proper impact socket and was told the gun was charged. It was pounding away but just not budging
-
Well the snap-on gun didn't work so gonna make a big bar tomorrow and try that.
-
I think I'd get kicked out the house if I'd spent £600 on a snap on gun haha we have mantis ones at work which seem pretty good.
-
Neighbour text me saying he's bringing a snap on impact gun back today so will give it a bash when I get home! An impact gun is something I should invest in as they do safe time and hassle.

This is what the tool iv made does just not confident my £12 5 year old breaker bar will survive lol
-
Yes iv been offered one, just wasn't around at clocking out time to meet the guy. Will be thursday when i see him next
-
I did watch videos on youtube with people using the starter trick. Was going to attempt it with the fiesta but managed to get it off with the snap-on gun, beast of a thing!
-
Il give it another go tomorrow and see if i can get it. Cant believe how tight it is, bloody pain like!
-
Yes the socket fits through the tool cant do the starter trick as the b18s supposedly rotate anti-clockwise when running? wouldn't really fancy trying that tbh. cheers
-
Yeah the tool is doing the job great its just i felt i was going to break my breaker bar as i had a 3ft bit of pipe on the end of it and the sucker still wouldnt come off
-
Yeah i enjoy the bikes!may have to go in the summer though as were expecting again so might have to get an aerodeck for the missus Been having some issues trying to remove the bottom crank pulley bolt I tried to see if any local motor factors or honda had a tool but no one did, or id have to wait a few days. So today i made my own, but the bloody bolt still wont budge It just feels like my breaker bar is going to snap. So my next plan is to borrow a £600 snap on inpact gun (which removed my fiesta crank bolt) and i might even weld a socket onto a solid bar/box section as this wont twist like the breaker bar, and have this as a back up. Anyone else had trouble removing the bolt before? Here's a pic of the tool i made...

Another aerodeck added to speed Equips collection 10/06/14

Cool car! Like the sound of your plans. This would be an ideal family car for my missus, need to find myself one -
Tried diy porting on an old zetec cylinder head I had and it took ages!!!!! Il spend the time cleaning the pcv valve and any other bits that are harder to access. It's a mk1 bandit 1200 has full akrapovic exhaust with titanium end can, ohlins rear shock, ignition advancer, jacked up an then a few blinded bits. Really nice smooth bike to ride.
