  1. Yeah was me lol you local? I just stay in wallyford.
  2. Car looks sweet mate! Think I was behind you on Friday heading from sheriff hall to the royal, sounded good.
  3. Hi guys, will the rear calipers on my 1.6 aerodeck be the same as the ones iv removed from my mb6? Going to be doing the hub swap this weekend and wondering if I can get away with just using the aerodeck calipers as they are in good workin order. Cheers
  4. Got a pic of how she's sitting now mate?
  5. When stripping my calipers down for a good clean up I noticed one of them was missing a piston seal! The calipers never stuck and the piston itself look pretty clean. Does anyone have a link to where they've bought new seals kits from in the past? Cheers
  6. Yeah that's the plan! Had a guy come today and take the passenger door and wing. Just trying to organise someone to come uplift it. First place said it's not worth them coming
  7. I don't really have the space to keep the car here in the drive having to remove bits so I can store them easier lol engine and box are nearly ready to be removed.
  8. Kept the hubs grant! Their currently getting refurbed ready for fitting. Windows in the deck Acrually work better than the mb lol
  9. Yeah iv already fitted the mgzs suspension all round. Il mind an keep the gear linkages too!
  10. Hey guys, as some of you know I'm breaking my mb6. Keeping all the good bits to fit to my aerodeck, but i need to know what parts to keep for engine conversion? Obviously the.... Engine Gearbox Driveshafts Iv removed engine loom, is this all the wiring I need? Ecu Exhaust Speedo and clocks? Any help will be much appreciated as iv taken this week off work to get it all stripped and scrapped. Cheers
  11. What suspension is on the green fella? also what colour is your vti lip? I'm going to need to paint my silver one to match the aerodecks blue (not sure on colour code?) We could swap lol
  12. Interested in watching how the engine build goes. I'm going to have a go at rebuilding my smokey engine eventually. I know it was a while ago but when you done the RTA bushes, what ones did you order? Do they do mb specific ones? And where did you buy them? Good luck with the build
  13. Do some people not cut the arch liners back a bit? If you were to remove them I'd give the inside I the acres a good clean and apply stone chip and underseal.
  14. Nice build mate! Do you work at the docks in rosyth?
  15. I'm kinda cheating tho by having the bits already lol yeah thanks for that pic! I haven't done anything about the abs light, it just went off lol must have been a dirty sensor or something. Just need to get this exhaust sorted and get the hubs removed and prepped for this.
  16. Yes I can confirm that the handling has improved massively! Was back at work today so managed to blag the ramp at lunch time to refit the wires into the O2 sensor that pulled out when the exhaust fell. Glad to report that the engine management light has now gone and so has the abs light.
  17. Had a good day working on the car today got the full mgzs shocks fitted, no problems with any of the bolts which was nice. Whilst the car was in the air I decided to remove the rear arb from the 6 and fit it to the deck. Not driven it yet but it's looking a lot better. Iv ordered some mtf gearbox oil and I don't think it will have been changed in a while. The linkage is a bit sloppy so it try fit the linkage from the 6 and perhaps get a dual bend short shift with poly bushes as I had them on my ek4 and it felt sweet.
  18. Wow so clean and fresh!
  19. That's the megs metal polish so far this evening iv removed and fitted the front mgzs setup front the mb, and fitted the dc2 air box + pipe. Will get back out and try get the rears done but I'm expecting to have to get the grinder out do the lca bolts lol
  20. That was why I email h tune and asked. He said they would supply mb specific ones. Think I'd personally try and fin a decent set of second hand coilovers from a dc2,eg and use them. Seems like there's plenty folk on here doing that with no problems, all down to what your wanting to spend I suppose.
  21. Oh... H tune were selling them for £615 posted a month or so ago as I messaged asking if they had the mb specific ones.
  22. Nice project man! I'm sure bc coilovers do mb specific ones! Think there is a member on here with a set. I'm sure they're cheaper than miesters too!i paid £500 for a set for my last accord.
