    Edinburgh

Head from Edinburgh down to north berwick via the coast road nice road with great views and you'll get a cracking chippy there!
  3. Yeah iv heard they are loud but can suffer from heat soak if not enclosed. Just a bit undecided what to go for. Might just wait and see if any pop up local or for a good price.
  4. I do like the thought of the oem itr setup and iv read it's a good airbox. My mate has one on his 200+ bhp b18 civic so they obviously work. Was there any difference in performance once fitted? Via the bum dyno lol
  5. Hi guys. Been thinking of getting an induction kit for the mb. Had a cheap universal kit on my ek4 and accord (came fitted with them). Not sure what to get so was wondering what everyone else runs? Pics would be nice iv been looking at the dc2 airbox or a whale willy intake. Cheers
  6. Looking really good mate! That's the sorta colour I want to do my fan blades. Are they 195 50 tyres? Car sits really well!
  7. Are the ek coilovers a straight fit? Or do the rears require washers? Looking forward to the finished pics!
  8. Looking good mate! Fronts shouldn't be too bad. I started with the front fork pinch bolt as iv heard they can be a right pain to remove, one of mine was. Then the lower fork bolt, removed the front strut brace an then the two nuts in the engine bay. What coilovers are you fitting? Shame you don't like the dc2 rims. I was trying to get a set for mine but couldn't turn down the fan blades for the price I got them for. Good luck for tomorrow
  9. Yeah I hope you get yours fitted ok! I was lucky to get the use of the ramp, makes life so much easier, had a space heater too lol think I would have ended up snapping the front fork pinch bolt and rear lower shock bolt if I didn't have the oxy acty! Need some bottles for the house lol
  10. Cheers man! She sits a little lower, not much. This is how I wanted it though as my estate is surrounded by speed bumps lol so far the handling seems so much better than the boat like standard mb6 stuff lol
  11. Yeah so far they seem really good! Not really pushed it but it just feels more stable yet still comfortable and speed bumps are not a problem
  12. Hoping so mate, will get onto modding the forks this week. Shouldn't be hard to change now as I cleaned and copper slipped all the bolts I removed.
  13. Do you need to lift the hub up to fit the lower bolt? Iv used a jack in the past to do this.
  14. Yeah I think it should. I did have a boot full if tools and the old shocks I took off. Just need to get time and get the forks on the milling machine or il maybe cut them with a grinder but I'd rather mill them. Il also blast them and give them a lick of paint too
  15. Finally recieved my mgzs shocks after being messed around with the ebay seller. I set about giving them a quick clean down. Spoke nicely to a supervisor of the site im working on and aksed if i could have use of one of their ramps today made life so much easier! Only ran into two bolts that caused a problem, both on the driverside. Came off no bother once heated with the oxy actylene apart from that it was pretty straightforward. Car sits nice now,wee bit higher at the front but i have spare front forks im going to mod to get the front end down abit more. Heres some pics....
  16. Any engineering shop could knock you them up for a few quid. Just make a wee drawing and go ask how much for cash, we get a few jobs in like that and just do it as a wee homer.

  18. Good luck with the coilovers mate What's the process for doing the ECU reset? Never done mine
  19. Nice updates mate. Should look good once everything's fitted. I opted for the 3" outward rolled tip on our mb, think it fits in really well.
  20. The bumpers come like that as standard on the facelift accords. Only mods I done to the exterior were type r front lip, rubber chin lip,atr front badge, wind deflectors and de spoilerd it. It was a really nice looking and sounding car How it looked when I first got it...
  21. I bought this car to be the sensible family wagon. I love low cars! My last accord was low on bc coilovers and became inpractical for driving the family around, scraping on every speed bump etc lol I do miss it though. I will be fitting mgzs suspension when it arrives and will see how she sits after that. Not had the car long but will keep tinkering away:)
  22. Awesome man! Thanks very much, looks like all you need todo it's cut the top of the fork to allow te shock to sit lower, good idea!
