maybe, behind the rear door handles you could put some of that smart water, its pricey at £35 on ebay but you never know, most would be car thieves are already known to the bacon, protecting yourself with a small webcam and some UV or smart water gives the rozzers something to get their teeth into. Also popping a sticker in your window or car stating its covered by CCTV is a good way to ward off would be thieves.3 points

Speaking of lists, check this thread out, bought my VTi-S in December just gone as well and the list I've gone through was quite large! http://civic5.com/forum/index.php?/topic/7938-2014-your-civic/page-33 points

Yes it takes a small layer of laquer off. You should leave Atleast 50 microns of paint left on the paintwork otherwise your paintwork is at higher risk from flaking etc. you'll need a paint thickness gauge to test it. I machine polish with a very fine polish to get nice result as my paintwork doesn't normally suffer from swirls etc just general small scratches which is taken out by the fine polish I use2 points

Strong stuff then... I shall prepare for it then! UPDATE! The MG ZS spoiler has been resprayed and fitted! I am over the moon with it. It looks so right!!! As for lowering, I didn't get it done today because I couldn't pick up the springs earlier today. But in the next hour I am picking them up!2 points

Congrats dude *gritted teeth* Really though It'll look well, and I wouldn't have left them black either if I'd been able to get them. Saying that, I hope your car falls apart on the way there, like a clown car at the circus.2 points

My car has underseat subwoofers as standard, but they're powered by the headunit. The Alpine upgrade consists of a 4 channel amplifier and front speakers and tweeters and the amplifier will then amp the front speakers and the underseat subwoofers for more punch!2 points

Awesome! Yeah you'd think that, but then you buy a 5/10 year old car with it fitted and find you can't replace the tape deck!2 points

I like to oil my big spanner and put it in the tool box. Just to keep it safe n that2 points

haha It made me laugh so it's not so bad! Cheers, started new job lastweek, first pay is the end of a working month so a few weeks away I'll be spending £300 odd to get started! Going to just get lowering springs to get it low, before coilovers as I still need to figure everything out in that department!2 points

I bought my dad a superchip plug and play thing for his 5.4 v8 ford f150 and the flipping difference that made was mental man, so much difference more power everywhere. Was worth it!1 point

lol I'm only messing of course. I think you and I are heading in a similar direction with our MBs though. Where did you pick up your back box from? Was it a one-off cheapo?1 point

I've never been one for massive bass, always preferred a quality setup but when I go to shows I'll have a nosey at the sound-off if there is one! Kudos to those nutters!1 point
-
I've done the db and I much prefer the quality setup now, my best system was an all infinity setup with a top of the range pioneer head unit, all cost about £2k and that was 16 years ago but it got transferred between cars until I finally sold it all.1 point

I can swap the subs out for any shallow mount 8" sub or a straight swap would be the BMW Logic7 subs. These subs are made to run off amplifier though cause they're rated for what the Alpine Amp actually gives them but the headunit is giving them something woeful like 15w RMS each. I got into audio because of my mates and cousins always having subwoofers and sound systems and always being around good Hi-Fi systems. I got my first car and it was a 1997 Toyota Starlet with a radio cassette deck and 2 speakers so I got to tinkering with bigger front speakers, made my first stealth shelf etc then moved onto amplification and subwoofers and the rest was history. So when I got this BMW which was a £35k car new to realise it didn't even have component speakers, to say I was disappointed was an understatement! Car audio is one of those things that are very sensitive to your ears though, what might sound good for you may not sound good for someone else etc so it's all about tinkering!1 point
