  1. Hi there all I havn't been around here for a long time but do check back regularly, used to own Rubys twin X998 FLE down here in Huddersfield, but swayed away a couple of years ago to drive an E46 M3, I've just sold the M3 on sunday and have decided to get back into Honda ownership. The M3 was great, very reliable, parts were dear and when minor things needed doing they were very expensive, fuel was grim but it goes with a 3.2 litre engine. There was always the back of my mind is it going to break, or when is it going to break thoughts, i was also disappointed with the build quality too, to say it was a prestige car the quality of the body was worse than my old MB6. Anyway's i was wondering if my old Cindy Civic was still doing the rounds, or if anyone still owns it on here, im going to see a FN2 type R on friday, but if anyone still has my old car i would happily pay good money to buy it back if they want to get rid. Cheers James

  4. No updates mate, literally just been driving her! Compared with a standard MB6, feels really tought/stiff but planted compared the MB's boat-like suspension! Lack of LSD is a bit of a downer but that's only because I was so used to it. Feels much more nippy and ready to go low down, I don't miss the IAB drop-off from 1st-2nd gear. Axle tramp is annoying, because these Toyo's don't grip well in the wet, whenever I go near the throttle in 1st or 2nd it just spins then the front end bounces trying to remove the dash! Road noise is worse but I've gotten used to it, I plan to get some dynomat or similar in there when I do the speaker upgrades, hopefully help with that. For a standard car though I really enjoy driving it as it is! I don't feel I "need" to rush into mods for it, but there's a few things I'd like, some induction noise as I've said already, not bothered about exhaust. Might K100 it in the future to release some mid-range powahz. Might also do a few upgrades to the brakes, at least better fluid if nothing else! It's not as practical as the MB but it's still big enough for what I need! I need to deal with the window rattle because it's annoying, also get some delfectors fitted so I don't get wet every time it spits outside!

  6. Here is my mb6 when I first got it all I had done was spray the alloys black After that I manage to put some after market fogs on it and a new mesh grill Then its was time to put my vtis front lip on looks so much better After a few months I got hold of a sparco steering wheel and put that in feels so much better that the huge standard one lol Then I lowerd it 40mm all the way around on springs and shocks, put the new alloys on it and my type r spoiler (don't have a pic of the back 0f the car yet will up load one soon) and this is what it looks like now Well that's the outside so far lol I've only got 2 pictures of my engine bay so far but as of stuff done to it here the list Skunk2 adjustable cam pulleys Integra tyre r cams 4-2-1 manifold Decat 2.5" straight thought exhaust with 3"back box New rocket cover with cam gears showing Gold washer dresser kit ( not finished yet) Htune p28 ecu with base map and lauch control Standard strut bar Short arm induction kit The car has been on a rolling road since all the work has been done and its currently sat at 191.4bhp but this is before I put the the new ecu in so as you ca tell by the picture it requires remapping so will hopefully get that done soon hope you enjoy the read i kept it pain and simple lol thanks for looking

  7. I had a leak from the air vent on the nearside of the boot well. Random but rear bumper off and silicone it back in. That also may be the problem mate.

  10. Loving it! That looks superb John, something I'd always been meaning to get for her but never got around to it. Can't wait to hear what this sounds like mate, when you popping through for a cuppa? She's looking mint underneath too, not bad for an old 98 civic eh! Good job on doing the flange on the cat yourself too, looks pukka!

  12. Was that the Compressor model with the supercharger? A Fabia VRs isn't a bad shout actually. Added to the list I've been looking at those little Ibiza FRs as well. Seems alot of car for a budget runabout.

  20. Funny you should ask that... Because this is replacing the MB3, it inherits the MB3's free insurance policy from work. I got a proper quote just to see how much it'd be and it was £805! To compare, my MB6 cost me £536 to insure this year!

  21. with insurance it all depends where you live, colour of car etc etc loads of things come into play when insuring :/

  22. You're forgetting Roj is an old man unlike us two, but for me at 20 when I got my 2005 325i it was £2600 a year, but now I'm 21 with an extra years NCB it is £900 a year lol

  33. Sweet! Rexy could have been another possibility but I'd always think of Toy Story (Rex) You'd love her with an induction kit on! K series sound epic for it! Did they give you 15% off as well for being traders here? Like it though dude! I hope she serves you well!
