  1. You can read here the difference between LHD and RHD headlights: http://civic5.com/forum/topic/9469-headlight-problem-mot/ My advice is don't waste money for LHD headlights, install LHD projectors inside your current headlights and you're done. It's easy to do and you'll start to see in the night ! Plus it looks better. You can install cheap chinese projectors, everything is better than the stock headlight

  3. So it starts right then after long time thinking about looking at a new car it always came down to the fact of I never want to get rid of my beloved MB6. I loved the way it drove, handled and sounded to much to ever let it go. So when it came down to looking for another toy to work on and really have fun in I was not ready to leave the Honda scene. The choice where a NSX or a s2000 now i would have a nsx straight away if the dam things were affordable so i went for the next best thing the Honda S2000 After much saving and pursading the miss's that i need this in my life I finally picked myself up a completely standard S2000 The thing was no angel. under acceleration she wanted to put me in a hedge, when you lift of the throttle the back end wobbled badley, she was missing her headlight washer jets, the clutch was slipping badly, had all odd tyres on, I pretty nasty dent in the rear quarter, she looked like she had never been polished (paint felt like sand paper). ABS light was on, and loads more. So in other word really found myself a good project. Apart from all those issues the car was sound the engine had only covered 66000 miles so still a baby she was bog standard with 2 owners so probs never ragged. no rust on here so very happy about that the interior was perfect So let the story begin

  5. Had one of those rare days where I could bring my phone to work so I took a cheeky pic after work from the B&Q car park after work. Doesn't really look like the sort of car that has free reign of a top secret government facility.

  6. I will keep an eye out for an MG setup I think and see how she sits. I was going to paint the wheels up anyway as they are not it the best nick and hoping that going black will hide most of the marks at a glance. Thanks for the advice, will put some pics up when its done...

  8. Quick pic with a cheap set of wheels on, not bad for £80 Not forgetting the vtec door decal, for some reason I always fit these to civics as I love where they are fitted, get some stick from the lad up the road for it, keeps saying are you waiting for vtec still What you get from leon cupra owners i guess:) I've now found I'm using the Civic more than the Zafira, it's been stood on the street feeling sorry for itself for nearly a week

  9. Looking good mate! Shame about the hoses! My low profile kit is exactly the same. I'm going to try screwfix and get some stainless jobbies to replace them.

  13. okaaaay ever since i owned the car its felt like the calipers were sticking. i took it to the garage a couple of months back to 'unstick' them (common problem on 14's) they unstuck them for me but after about 1 mile they were stuck again. (they didnt even charge me for it) though guidance from a few close friends i decided to get my calipers refurbished (funds didnt allow an upgrade unfortunately) the pads i fitted a few months back were dog awful too, so decided i would upgrade those... aaand why not do the disks too! 1x set front EBC Yellowstuff pads 1x set rear OEM EBC pads Mtec front a rear disks (just grooved) Calipers refurbished by Biggred ATE TYP200 Race Quality Brake Fluid need to do some more bleeding but thats for another day. they work for now. car needs alignment so so badly it feels all over the place (also think we've fixed the noise coming from passenger side. the break line thingy wasnt cable tied on tight enough) actually had very little issued today, so went really well!!!!

  14. Bit of japfest prep for my HOONDA's although only one will be coming. will start my s2k thread soon as a feeking lot has changed on her and had some real struggles to get the dam thing to drive the way i want it, but its finally playing ball now. Civic has got big plans after japfest and lots of new toys to go on but today was a good day to give it a good compound, polish and wax. OH thats kinda coool Mirror finish

  15. Rocker cover fitted with skunk 2 low profile jobbies. Also some vtec solenoid washer stud things. Not sure that they are genuine skunk2 though... The hex heads started chewing before they torqued up fully. Also had a failed attempt at fitting some silicon hoses that I've had for ages. Turns out that they are wrong and didn't fit... So basically wasted loads of time swapping coolant Only had time to Polish and wax the bonnet (felt like it needed it the most)

  16. You have to make the ECU to learn the new settings. The procedure is in the service manual and should fix your problem. Take a look here: http://civic5.com/forum/topic/9592-mc1-with-a-few-niggles/?p=238636

  19. Yeah she did mate. Amazing what a quick fly past with the machine does!! On another note, also spoke to a friend of a friend today about having the dents pulled. Gave me a really good price. So that'll be getting done at the end of the month too.
