  1. Hmm my favourite mod is probably my intercooler setup. Not a fan of seeing the pipes sticking out of the fog lights.

  5. Haha yes this is where the fun starts. Because usb to serial just doesn't work like you'd expect it too. What burner have you got. A generic one or a moates?

  6. Touch wood that will be preconfigured. You may have to have a fresh map burned for yours. As you need to enable datalogging RTP in crome and know which data logging protocol is installed.

  7. No mate. It's a serial to Bluetooth adapter. Plugged into the cn2 connector on the ecu

  8. Had a couple hours to play about this morning. Got the car running on the k20 coil pack. Seems cool. Runs nice. Need to make a plate to hold the coils down mind as I expect they will jump off as they are. Also managed to get the Bluetooth working finally. What a pain in the a*s that has been. However it now seems responsive. And outputs all engine sensors to my phone using Tunerview app. Can overlay them onto video footage so shall have a play with that on next track day

  11. Some really nice additions there John. I'm the same with regards the steering wheel..........never bothered me when i was young but now I always seem to think more on the safety aspect rather than the look. When we first got Mindy our mk1 mx5, I was like "yeeeees! No airbag, can fit what I like to her!". but to be honest, I'm so wary driving her having no airbags at all (not even a passenger one). Think it was after owning the FN1 and FN2 civics (TypeS and TypeR) that made me realize just how much safer the newer cars are now. Both my MINI and the two FN Civics had drivers, passengers, rear passengers and side airbags. Never thought I'd see the day where I would like a car that has so many airbags, but with our roads so full nowadays and the driving standards of a lot of drivers well below par, I like to feels safe should some twat decide to crash into us! Had a near miss with the mx5 around October last year where Me and the cars in front had all slowed down to 30mph as we entered a village (having just came out of a 60mph limit).........young girl in a clio sport came tanking up behind me doing what I think was around 70, and failed to noticed we'd all slowed to the 30 limit. She yanked the steering to avoid hitting the back of me (missed by no more than an inch!) then hit the brakes and went into a full broadside skid past me, round a traffic island the wrong side (still going sideways!) then car straightened up and she almost ran into the rear of the van that was in front of me! I have never had a shock like it, and made me instantly think that if she had hit me, at that speed, in the mx5, then i wouldn't be here now. Didnt drive the car again for a week, and actually thought about selling it!. So totally get what you say about the airbag mate! I had a look at the very head unit you fitted too, as they are quite cool. I'm still going ahead with the double din conversion (I like a challenge! lol) but if that fails then will probably end up getting one of those. Glad you got the suspension freed off as shes sitting much better now, no more dragging her bum lol Loving this deck, really has become one of my favourites in the club!
