Test fitted today. Better looking than expected

Todays repair: As I told some days ago, the crankshaft sensor wyre was a bit cuted and sometimes the check engine light went on, so I welded and end of my issue.

Nice one that. I feel proud of what I've done. I'm IT, not mechanic, all I know is self learned reading in forums, watching in youtube...its really satisfiying, sometimes I think I enjoy more working on cars than driving them

Couple of nice days spurred me on to get the car out and do a bit again. Few jobs I'd like to tackle this year. Started with fitting mg zs rear ARB. Thanks @dr_broon. Damn it was rusty, so had the full works blasted acid dipped and powder coated. All new links and bushes. Straight away when cornering at speed can feel the improvement. Had a ongoing issue where loose boost control. Which leaves me with only 6.5 psi of boost which is not good when expecting the shabang!!! After consulting with Rich, we concluded that the solenoid is getting cooked as it's fairly close to the manifold which naturally gives off loads of heat. So replaced that and moved under the headlight. See how that goes. Then time for a quick was literally spent a quick hour getting the dust off from storage. Looks a bit better.

The car I wanted when I past my driving test was a mk3 Ford Cortina 2000E! Those were the car to have back in my youth, along with the mk2 Escort. Sadly, Couldn't wait till I past my test so went and bought a lovely white mk3 2000E before I even got my license! Couldn't drive it legally so my big bro used to take me out for a spin in it, deal being he got to use it to go to work lol. Had a mk2 Escort too, which I stupidly drove before passing my test and got caught! Years ban before I even had my license, not something I'm proud of, just wanted to drive!!! So, car I always wanted (and got!) (photoshopped the number plate from mine onto it!)
