  1. So, did a good bit of work to the car again. This time I installed a proper mounting bracket for the cold air intake as the old hacked-off and jury-rigged intake mani bracket looked pretty bad, to be honest. Also installed a pair of much more serious sounding horns than that little beeper that the car came with. They sound a lot better than the OEM one did, and are quite a bit louder on top! After that I installed a set of new bumper screws - the original ones were completely rusted and cruddy, and one almost stripped completely when I took that bumper off! Then I got to work on my seat-project. As I said in my last post - the original seats make me sit a bit too high for my own tastes and I have been looking for either some high-quality (road legal) seat rails for aftermarket seats from either Recaro or some other brand, or a completely different way to sit lower than the original seats would allow me to. As it turns out ... you can fit CRX seats on the original M-chassis rails if you drill out the rivets and fabricate an adaptor plate out of steel (10mm thick in my case). I got lucky a few years ago and managed to take a pair of these seats off a guy for jsut 250 bucks total. :) Here's how the first prototype looks like: This was only to take a look and see if my idea could even work to begin with, and if it would make me sit lower than the OEM seats would, but as luck would have it ... this combo works flawlessly and I sit about 5 to 8 centimetres lower than I do in the stock seats! :D They are also quite a bit more comfortable, if a bit worn-out. Real plushy. :) But as things stand right now I'll just make a few more refinements to my adaptor brackets, give those seats a thorough cleaning session and maybe add some more side bolstering to give them a bit more of a sporty feel and I've got myself a nice pair of OEM Honda seats that do exactly what I want from them! :D

  2. Was that the whole thing including the buttons for heater controls etc? Sounds like the bargain of the century mate! Get what you mean about wanting something like that in the deck. I'm still weighing up options!

  3. How did the new exhaust go? Got ours made by Powerflow over 12 years ago, best part we ever got for the deck! Still going strong!

  6. Sooo, the pics of what I've been dealing with with our daughters car. First the damage And finished it yesterday! This was just before the alloys with 4 brand new tyres went on. Been a lot of work but after least she's got her car back. DD now comfortably back in her crib until I get the MOT booked!

  9. Long time no see... Small updates to the car only, got a steering wheel with quick release and installed these new wheels which I will use for the summer. This weekend I'm going to dial in the fitment completely adding some more camber (camber kit) and maybe spacers if needed.... To get most stance look as possible. I am so fan of the new wheels btw, they are awesome! Jr6 16x8 et25 if anyone is wondering, fits perfect... Waiting for some custom angel eyes headlights as well so they are coming on soon as well 😎

  11. Oh, the backbox may have corroded badly and fallen off too…. Fully blame the council and them gritting the roads literally every night for about 2 months straight here… Having a new cat back made from Powerflow next week though

  12. Next thing I’m gonna sort is the lca’s and coilovers and front camber arms/plates. Should all go on easily enough I hope, rear brake lines run down the lca’s so will re route those to tidy them up a little too. Bought two new front wishbones with all the bushes and hardrace compliance bushes too, rear toe arms on the way so will get those on when they arrive. Id bought new shifter rods too but they don’t fit so will have to sell them, either fit an ek or eg not too sure. Bought a completely different shifter setup too so that’ll be interesting to see what it’ll be like when it gets here. Changed steering wheel again (3rd time now) Had rear windows and rear lights tinted, clear side repeaters too. Bought a d16z6 intake mani to swap but haven’t got round to it, then bought another super clean one because why not, will have a new fuel rail and some other bits when they get here, only bought the second one as it was going really cheap and had brand new injectors with it, so one will be getting sold at some point I’d imagine. Just gonna keep going with it all and eventually swap a bigger engine into it when it’s affordable, come to really like the chassis so don’t want to get rid because of a couple rusty panels! Also got a 282mm front brake upgrade and fancy (expensive) discs to put on too. And a random oil cooler because why not

  13. Not much to update on Tubs2 as its hibernation time, so thought I'd show done pics of the bargain android headunit / climate control thing for the big boy wagon. It's pretty good to be fair, better than a lot of oem infotainment systems. Had android auto and Apple car play. Only real quirk is that the passenger side temp control is the one that controls both, rather than the other way around, and the door open image that pops up is also switched around. Wish there was something like this for the M though. Got it for a bargain £35 from the cancer research eBay site as well. Looks like they must have a batch at there's another one on auction now https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/225994844427?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=7jCh4mYeQAC&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=VPkI41u3Sse&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=More Replaces this unit..
