Yeh I concur new jazz looks well fancy!

Oh for sure I've had plenty of opportunities to ditch Honda. But they are awesome fun cars and they do hold there own against the big boys. I been on the bumper of a 650i upto 150mph odd. Amongst other things that have been spanked. And not much would touch the eg/ek in the corners with a half decent setup.

Speaking of bmws and antilag... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_oNA8zytUZQ&feature=youtube_gdata_player

It's over fueling on over run mate. Supposed to keep the turbo spooled when coming off the throttle. Looks pretty crazy. My mate who likes his subarus had it on his last bug eye. Sounded pretty insane

True true. But it's all just money that there isn't a lot to throw about at times. Just paid for that mazda in cash. So scraping the barrel at the minute. I have got a little stash in black ops 2 case for tuning tho! Sssshhhhhh!
-
Would never be able to do it in a day. If the head comes off I'd clean All the valves. Re seat them etc. I'm an amateur too so slow working a lot of the time.
-
The gasket I've had made looks just like a skunk2 gasket but there silly money from the states.I reckon a gasket is probably supplied if bought new but I picked the TB up second hand so have had to get gasket separately. It's s90 TB onto skunk2 intake.

That's right with 2.5" mani and system. The springs I am undecided at the minute. Number of things. I have no where to work so would risk crap blowing around taking head off in the street. I'm on a tight budget as always so don't want to pay labour. Also from what I understand springs are recommended but only really necessary if raising the Rev limit due to valve float. Soon dunno yet will see
-
Might use a different tuner this time round. Means paying full whack again but one place in particular has been highly recommended
-
Yeah now staying n/a with a few bits n bobs thrown in. Expecting to see 190+ bhp. Fingers crossed.

I'm gonna be using a 70mm s90 billet throttle and although it bolts up all the holes for sensors etc are different to oem throttle. Didn't realise til I orders gasket and was like what in the blazes!!! That's not right. Only needs one hole for iacv but need to be bigger than oem to cover some other holes in the throttle.
-
Scared of bubbles maybe?? Anyway. The thermal barrier gasket things I have. The throttle one didn't fit. So I made a stencil of my throttle and sent it off. Finally came back today. Fits perfect! Pheeeww. My stencil was ropey so pretty chuffed it came out right. Anyway gonna book a day off next week for intake etc. Then again the next week. Then some mapping action very soon. Promise some progress next week!!

Spoiler does look good mate. Ya spray it yaself?? Top job
-
Sounds pretty good ay. What physical condition is it in?? Any good?? And yes my engineer mate who recons calipers calls them 'rover type' not 'Honda type' so that says it all really!

Fiesta St. Just as felt it should start kicking off. Power dwindled away and there was the limiter. Very disappointing. Gotta love a vtec motor for fun. I know there not the fastest things in the world but they are definately fun!
-
Yeah true I hear ya. It is very different power delivery to any petrol engine. Have to keep an eye on rpm all the time because gear ratios are so long and I find myself shifting when I don't have to.
-
You'd be surprised mate. It shifts 143ps 360nm

Yep that's what I thought odd. But it's the way it's designed. The idea is that the diesel in the oil will be vaporised if it were to get hot enough but unlikely to do so. Although apparently giving it some beans and getting the exhaust nice and hot burns the soot off dpf naturally and will stop it pouring diesel in trying to clean it
-
Haha like it. Yeah look same as mine
-
My bad my dog n bone puts me back where I last left off on thread usually about 5 pages back. Took me a mo to catch back up.
-
Good job on the tints. I'd love to do mine but probably mess it up
-
I found out they don't work if you drop them! I think most hid problems occur within the ballast especially in cheap ones. Not 100% about the lamps tho. Although I'd guess at eventually they will wear out
-
Well so far so good. I changed the oil and filter this morning. And cleared ecu with torque pro. Problem solved I hope. Ran great all day! It's weird the oil level raises over time. Apparently due to the dpf cleaning cycle. Diesel gets in the engine oil. The dipstick has three marks.. min, max and X. X means the oil needs changing. Bizarre.
