Well so far so good mate.

Thanks.. Suppose which diff depends on your budget and goals. I've put a black line helical diff in this. Seems to work as intended, however I did only choose it as got a fantastic deal on it. 350ish brand new delivered from somewhere. Matt Lewis racing possibly. Not aggressive at all but locks up when plant your foot. I've had a m factory race pack diff previously, that was very good. I believe quaife etc are bit steeper but often you get what you pay for. Obvs plates diffs are noisier and do wear out eventually.

Nice car this mate. Good stuff!! -
Oh no what a shame Dave. Wonder what that was then

Manifold from other d series and after market should fit. Direct fit I doubt. Will likely need some modification and relocation of certain bits.

Hi, realise I've been a bit of a stranger here lately. Apologies. Hope the team is good, Glad to see still going strong. Thaught id pop in as been tinkering again. History repeating I suppose. This time gone for an ep3 and made a fast road car/semi track car. Baught late 2024 from Southampton. Got it back and realised it was originally from my local honda dealer. So it came home really. Complete Stock car well used but with plenty of history, not the best example but far from a nail. In the last 12 months. Ive done lots of bits. From tidying underside underside. Rebushed. Rebuilt rack. Powder coated arms. New everything really. New timing chain etc. Rebuilt the gearbox. Added lsd. Then started prepping for turbo. Quite a bit of work to do on these to make room for the setup as there's looms and lines everywhere on the bulkhead. Anyway lots of custom bits and 3d printed stuff later. And I won't say it's complete. Cus they never are. But it's a pretty wild little car now. Lots of fun.

Easiest way to get these out I've done it many times. Heat them with a blow lamp till they burn. The rubber turns to ash and you can take the tube out. Then cut a slit in the outer ring in two places 180 degrees from one another using hacksaw or similar. Really easy.

Rear toe is adjusted from the link at the very front of the trailing arm. In front of the large bush. As for settings. Most cars something like 1 Deg tow in rear is satisfactory. But if take to to a garage that does wheel alignment they will look up the correct settings

Sounds like you got a pearler there Dave. Looks minty fresh

Also common rust place on these is the front floor under the front footwells. If sill are rusty I'd expect to find rust on floor too and towards the front of the sill behind the skirt.
-
Hmm I wouldnt. It's a common issue for sure. But they rust from the inside out usually so if you attempt a repair be prepared for the inner sill jacking point all to need repair. Gets expensive quickly
-
Glad he's enjoying it. Really shouldnt have sold it tbh. Moment of madness haha.
-
Not mine it's one rich Ellis bought to repair and sell. I sold mine to his brother tho. He blew it up so I sold him a spare engine I had also lol.
-
I will do at some point. It's in bits at the minute. Already had some modifications on the car which are not done to (in my opinion) a good standard. So undoing a lot of crap whilst putting my stamp on it I guess. But not going to go mad just want to do some track days in 2024 then may look at selling it. Can't see myself getting madly attached to it tbh.
-
Yeah grown on me big time tbh. However I do feel I need a car I'm not too precious about for track duty. So that's how I ended up here in a red dog egg as me and me mates call them haha

Hey,.. erm yeah I did some more mods on the crown and got it all set up beautifully. Put some lovely 4 pot brakes on etc. then got a bit twitchy with it because everything is so expensive for those cars. Realised was gonna take 10k minimum really before I'd be remotely happy with performance etc, so I'd be into it for over 20k by that point. And also I drive so Infrequently when I do go out I want something fun to drive , which nice as it was, it wasn't a fun car. So sold it. Genuinely gutted I sold my mb6 actually. Moment of madness. So been in a bit of a rut and a bit grumpy about cars. But have baught an fnPoo with some nice mods on. And plan to put my stamp on that and do some track days etc next year.
