The only car ive ever driven that comes close was an evo 8 .. they have MIVEC which is a kind of dulled down version of vtec .. But it had the low down (ish) from turbo and then a little more at the top .. The scoob for low down grunt was amazing though, picked up at 3k and kept going to an ebarrasing 7k ..

I had the scoob way back when, was great .. Although while i owned it i always had the hankering for a high revving honda ... Turbo/Charger on a B/H/K series is the best engine i could think of for me ...

I think adding an a2 head to c4 bottom lowers compression too much .. But i dunno !!! I honeslty dont see the benefits outwiegh the downs and the amount of work needed! Type r cams in our head, boosted and your laughing ...

Exactly the same as me .. She has her fair share of blemishes etc but when she's clean and you stand 6ft back :-D Dealers are pretty much all fucking rip off merchants... Even the mains .. Not worth the added value IMO

I dont really think others have had that issue .. Its certainly the cheaper way to go .. Thing is though, once youve got them and fitted them etc etc cost wise, its almost a third of what Meisters wouldve cost !

Yeah the a2 head wont take a c4 inlet i think .. Not sure what advantage it would be changinig the inners around ... Would be interested to know as a set of a2 cams are a damn site cheaper than c6 !

Oh i dont know mate !! I always thought the an a2 inlet wouldnt fit on ours?! Yeah well we've had this one before havent we mate ... C6 is going to cost you £1500 .. A boosted set up would be similar and return 25% more power easily .......

Was going to say thats not the 2.2, that makes a little more sense Its supposed to be a really good engine actually the little 1.6 ! They even put it in the CRV! I think the tourer is only coming with the 1.6 derv and 1.8 petrol atm ..

I think the a2 is the only one that has a dif fitament for the inlet .. Not sure about the outlet .. A c6 head would defo be the way to go to get a decent gain .. But if you were going to do the head, why not save and get a whole engine .. Always swings and round abouts!!

I think in fairness that if only ever put a teg head on. Not really sure whether therrs much of an advantage for the a2!?!

Oh there will most certainly be goodies old chap Will be interesting if a head swap solves it and then stripping down the "noisy" head and figgering out what was the culprit ..

Haven't done anything with it for a while dude. Going to do cambelt, tensioner and water pump next weekend and then change the dizzy over again. If that doesn't solve it, JBH do a head gasket for £56 delivered so will be getting that and putting y spare head on lol. I'll then rebuild this one

Oh my god. I am absolutely lost for words. I thought he'd been doing so well. So sad and I can't imagine what his family is going through. Thoughts are with them. Nick was an absolutely top bloke. Was one of the first on here to make people feel welcome. Really did out himself out to make me feel welcome on here. We've had loads of conversations via threads and PM. Such a knowledgeable chap and always helped out and shared his experiences. He will most certainly and genuinely be missed. Civic5 have lost one of it's most prominent members. Today is a sad day.
