Still had a gear to go on the Autobahn where I could've maxed it if I wanted to (135mph is top of 5th)
-
Starlet GT Turbo/Glanza. Would have another in a heartbeat.
-
Not MB's but all on a private road in Mexico on their Autobahn. Toyota Starlet 1.3 16v Sportif - 120mph speedo - 120mph - So actual speed ??? - Took AGES! VW Golf 1.6 SE 8v - 160mph speedo - 131mph indicated - Actual speed probably 126mph - Car felt funny after. Toyota Starlet GT Turbo TD04 - 110mph speedo - 134mph GPS - Car no longer exists BMW 325i SE - 160mph speedo - 160mph indicated - 155mph GPS - Limiter.
-
Yes, who knew mexico had such good roundabouts? I think we'll leave it there. LOL
-
Haha Roj can assure you that that was code, this thing really does get sideways.. on private roads obviously.
-
Handles fairly well too, apparently on a simulator it can drift.
-
I even managed to edit the video of you driving off slowly to look like you were doing a burnout too!

Had a great weekend with Roj in London for Japfest, and a great time at Japfest and seeing the other MB/MC's on the civic5 stand... despite the weather! Was an eventful weekend from sorting out Roj's subwoofer til 2am on the Saturday Morning.. to then embark on the journey to Japfest at 4am having not slept for over 24hrs! Then a Gumball 3000 supercar meet at Krispy Kremes the next day, whole weekend of meets then! His MB6 performed beautifully and I got to take him out in the BMW, I'll let him give his own opinion but all I can say is... I love this car more and more every time I drive it, from the power delivery to the refinement to the chassis balance, I don't see myself having a non BMW daily driver ever again! But when it comes to my toy.. I may just have to get a Honda, Roj's MB6 did tempt me a bit but we'll see what's available at the time. Some of the pics I took of mine and Roj's car.. No real changes except I'm going to a meet on Sunday so hopefully someone takes good shots of my car, got to wash her beforehand though!
-
Was great having you around man! And thanks for allowing me a passenger seat in the MB6 to Japfest, do like this car even more than I already did! Was nice seeing all the other MB/MC's on stand and attending Japfest and seeing all the other cars, shame about the weather though. If me and Roj seemed a little shy/meh it's because I think at Japfest he hadn't slept for 30+ hours and me around 24 lol, we were literally out till 2am doing the stereo then left my house for Japfest at 4am! Infact I may get an MB6 of my own now to run alongside my 325i... was originally considering an EP3 but seeing an MB6 being 1/3 the price and nearly as quick in the real world.. tempting. And I took a lot more pictures but some need editing etc. so I'll post them up eventually!

Roj's Mean Green No Fire Trucks Given Machineâ„¢ (Rust In Pieces)
Shafzzz replied to Roj's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
Using my discount code you can get Pagid/OEM pads for the MB3 at EuroCarParts for £20.50, let me know mate and I'll go pick 'em up for you -
Yup! Going to be in a Honda very soon hopefully.. I believe Roj knows what one! Haha, what was your first car if you don't mind me asking? I wrote off the first one, which was a shame because my mum had it for 12 years without bother and I had it for 5 months.. live and learn though
-
My first car was technically my mothers car for 11 years then passed down to me but she still drove it, I put starlet GT turbo seats in it and she was so amazed that she kept asking me why I didn't do it sooner! It was funny though.. seeing my mum drive a lowered 60mm starlet with tints, JDM lights, induction kit and bucket seats to tesco.. She learnt to drive lowered cars though! My mum has always had mixed reactions to my cars.. I sold my MK4 Golf and bought a starlet GT turbo whilst she was on holiday and when she got back.. to say she wasn't happy would be an understatement. She likes the BMW though, she says I've "calmed" down.. she doesn't know I'm looking for a second car as a project muahaha...

Thanks everyone, gonna go for the bottom ones in Gunmetal after payday, didn't realise how expensive 19" tyres were! I also wanna wash the car but I just know it's going to rain later.. but it's filthy, I hate moments like this!
-
Thank you for the kind words! Managed to get some pics at Tesco whilst out shopping with Mum, as usual she was confused as to what was different and why I was taking pictures.. but admitted whatever I did looked nice. Shows how bright just the angel eyes are, sorry for instagram filters! Also now I'm at a bit of a split decision, which of these wheels should I get? Top: 19" BMW M359 1M style wheels in Hyper Silver, staggered + concave Bottom: 19" BBS CH Replicas in Gunmetal (can get Hyper Silver), staggered. Opinions?

I feel bad for for the fact Roj is staying at mine, you get excellent fuel economy on the motorway but then you enter London and it all goes to waste!

Good work on the badge Roj, yes Rob he has too many civics and doesn't finish them in a logical order. Stop buying stuff for the 5 door hatch and finish the other 5 door hatch with VTEC and a spoiler and alloys. Yes this is payback for when I say "how's the civic?" and you say "which one?" But yeah good work on the badge, made mental progress considering you've wanted this for 8 years and you've done most of the cosmetics in a month LOL.

I do own a drill, well I used to use my dad's till he moved abroad, and my shed is more like an outhouse so it is impossible to find any power tools, it'd probably be quicker to buy one than me search for it, Btw Roj you're getting to mine at 7pm,you expect to do headunit, sub, speakers, amp and wiring and then we give the car a once over THEN do JDM tails? I want you to be awake for the JF1 drive!

One of my mates has the SPL 12" Ground Zero Nuclear running ~4000w RMS, most ridiculous bass I've experienced as he had it in a 106! It made it hard to breathe after a while because of how the bass was haha, I love bass but my current car doesn't allow me to have window shattering amounts of it though! Roj will be fine with the CBR10 till he decides he wants something a bit more.. bassy?

Roj is having my JBL 12" sub and vibe amp for a day when he comes to mine haha, I miss using it but I can never let it go, Roj knows what that sub can do to surrounding cars LOL.

Roj's Mean Green No Fire Trucks Given Machineâ„¢ (Rust In Pieces)
Shafzzz replied to Roj's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
That sticker looks familiar, be careful with the +5bhp though, The sudden boost in power that may land you in trouble if you end up above 29.666421mph man! Pretty cool artsy shot too, best work car ever. -
Wheels look brilliant and I absolutely love the way this is sitting, you at JF1 next month? I'd like to see this in person, looks great!
