  1. Windscreen sealed. Done quite a tidy job. My brilliance knows no bounds! Defo! Look what I found! Cleared all the gunk out, waiting for it to dry before I seal it.
  2. Got my bathroom sealant. Clear! Because i'm a bit messy with the caulking gun.. I'm still convinced it was the windscreen. Can't feel any moisture anywhere else.
  3. Purchased some clear bathroom sealant. Should do the job nicely! I did notice this suspect repair when I got home. Appears to be the same both sides. If you look closely, you can see fingerprints. Source of the leak?
  4. Sunroof drains were clear, gave them a good blast with air just to be sure. Pulled the roof liner down a little and I could see moisture and dangling bits of sealant. Pics aren't great I'm afraid! Off to Wickes later to get some bathroom sealant
  5. Truly bad a*s stuff. Going to blow through the sunroof channels with an air duster and keep and eye on the leak. My head liner is sagging bad at the back so I may just rip it out and do without one for a while.
  6. Got my fingers under the roof liner and could feel stringy sealant that was wet around the top edge of the windscreen. I've left a cloth wedged in the a-pillar to soak up the water for now
  7. Not been too active on here recently Done a few things, oil, air filter. I noticed this this morning Had a quick look before work and it seems to be the top of the windscreen. The sealant looks feels very degraded. I'll have a look around on my lunch break. But what do you guys suggest? Waiting for it to dry and coating it in waterproof sealant or digging out what I can and then sealing?
  8. VTi-S splitter fitted It needs a coat of paint but seeing as it's now chilly out there, it can wait till next year! I'm on the hunt for a possible leak. Car is getting very steamy with all this rain. The windscreen was wet on the inside yesterday night If I put the blowers on hot, it just steams up the windscreen quicker... possibility that there's a leak into the heater duct? I also get no radio reception. My head unit will skip through every frequency... occasionally I'll pick up 1 station if I'm in another town. Aerial was replaced but still no joy. b****red aerial cable from the roof maybe?
  9. It's been a couple of weeks! The motorway seems to be helping a great deal. I'm saving around £10+ a week, dropping my fuel usage to around £200 a month. I'm fairly happy with this. My insurance renewal is next month. Need to shop around. I'm currently with Brentacre, all mods declared are free but you pay quite a hefty premium (hidden fees, admin fees, fees for a fee...fees to pay for fees, you get the picture). I'm paying £1000 a year and Swiftcover quoted me £520 when I checked them out! Anyway, I have a VTi-S splitter on the way in silver, direct fit. Easy job I hope... provided all the bolts come undone. I re-fit the factory airbox and a new Blueprint filter. I like the open cone filter for noise.. but that's all it gave. I've swapped and changed a few times this year. I did experience a noticeable flat spot at low revs with the cone filter, a considerable drop in torque. This was especially noticeable with passengers. Plus the bwaaarp noise made it too easy to have a lead foot! Car funds for coilovers are low again as I've just blown a wad of cash on an Nvidia GTX970 graphics card and a new phone Did anyone snap up that DC2 airbox on Facebook the other day ? It was £25
  10. Not sure, here is everything they do for Honda http://www.tme.eu/en/katalog/mdf-mounting-accessories_113177/#id_category=113177&s_field=artykul&s_order=ASC&visible_params=2%2C2324%2C2323%2C139%2C734%2C2312%2C2316&used_params=2312%3A20740%3B
  11. Not to mention the hatch looks like a Rover. This comment always ruffles a few feathers. Looking at the back of my MB6 makes me vom. I'd swap it for a deck any day!
  12. Aerodeck all the way. The hatch is naturally an un-cool car imo. Something about estates that are badass.
  13. It's 30 miles, all back roads. Start, stop. Start, stop. Or 40 miles on the motorway. I've been going down the M4 recently, 10miles further but a steady 65-70mph is saving some pennies. It's more than easy enough for me to cycle the entire trip. I must go past 5 a day on my route down the back roads. I've never been a fan of riding a bike, plus I'd need to buy a suitable bike which can be a pretty penny I don't trust Halfords £60 Apollo bikes! My weekly mileage inc the weekend is around 250, so it's average.
  14. Thanks guys, Just need to tidy a few bits up. But I've come to the decision that the car will be sold next year (not sure when yet!) I'm trying to save up to move out of home and this is becoming uneconomical to run (£240 fuel per month)..and I only drive to work and back! :(
  15. iirc, this is due to high speed turbulence in the cat. It's an open space and the air whooshes around at high speed. Though it could be a loose heat shield or something.
  16. Certainly much clearer with better bass. I'm only running them from the head unit which I think is 50W so they'll never be amazing. But I have 4" Pioneers in the back coupled with a small sub in the boot so I get pretty good sound all round. Might look into some better 1" tweeters. Nothing spesh
  17. Sorted now Very good quality MDF. If there is such a thing? Varnished too! Unfortunately the screws I used for the speakers were thick enough to bolt ships together so the MDF split a tad
  18. Just ordered x2 MDF-D.05 Total shipped was £17.10... I have a feeling I've ordered 2 sets of 2 so I might have a spare set for someone on here aye
  19. Balls, in that case these generic adapters are no good. I couldn't line anything up Oh well, £4. At least we know, add them to the list of "does not work" Now I see yours, I know what to look for
  20. Well these arrived today. Seemed okay at first. Problem, the hole don't match up. I can get 1 and a bit lined up but the last one and a bit just seems a few mm off. Not too bad, I can just screw into the MDF. But nothing seemed to line up at in in the car? Am I supposed to take the inner bowl out? I still couldn't find anywhere suitable to screw into.. In fact the inner diameter seemed way too big... but if it was any smaller I doubt I'd fit the speaker through. Eventually I found a way to get the holes to line up with the speaker which is nice. but please DO tell me if I'm doing anything wrong! I'm just guessing here I'm not sure if the pre-drilled holes are to screw the adapter to the car or the speaker to the adapter...
  21. I would never buy a car from anyone who can't spell properly....
  22. These look like they'll do the job, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PAIR-OF-6-5-18MM-ROUND-OVAL-MDF-MOUNTING-STEREO-SPEAKER-SPACER-ADAPTOR-RING-/180792812957?pt=UK_ConElec_SpeakersPASystems_RL&hash=item2a1817659d Pre-cut, pre-drilled and treated. Suits me fine for £4
  23. Forgot to say, I still have some of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-XS-F1727SE-Coaxial-Speaker-System/dp/B004I1KE08 Unsure if they'd fit without modding. Some threads say yes, some say no. The speakers are 6.5" across with bolt holes 6" apart, and plenty of them. Total depth is 50mm.
  24. I only have one The side that has the trim is pristine! I quite like the orange indicator caps Thanks for the comments guys!
