Car washed with Meguiars ultimate wash and wax and waxed after with Simoniz instant wax. Pretty good for just £6! Total time washing, drying and waxing: 40 mins Not a blinding clean. I hate cleaning the car. The waxing did highlight the numerous paint imperfections. Several small dings, paint peel on the rear bumper, some arch rust and a fair few scratches! Overall paintwork is pretty dull. Or maybe because it's silver? Imo, it needs a good polish to iron out most of them then a decent waxing! I also did pick this up plus a new filter. I've been running Fuchs Titan 5w-40 fully synthetic for the past 6+ months.

Some were quite deep but never went through the paint. The rear door took the brunt of it with the very top of the scratch being the deepest. The paint of these is thicker than that of warships I'm sure. Wet and dry was used and T Cut. Total of 5-6 hours with 2 people. I never expected them to come out so well! This isn't the first bit of vandalism for the street. Unfortunately the street is a cut through so there's a lot of traffic in terms of people and cars. Therefore you get the twonks late at night. Having mirrors kicked off isn't unusual. I had my wing mirror kicked off from my Micra and even had people run over the bonnet, up the windscreen and jump off the roff. Tell tale muddy footprints eh.

Hi all, Wasn't sure if I posted this. But a few weeks ago some scrote (or scrotes) scratched up about 15 cars in the street with what seemed like a brick! But it went from this To this!

AeroCool Xpredator X1 case, nothing too flash. Annoyingly one of the red LEDs isn't working but I bought the case so long ago there's nowt I can do. Anyway, car news Fitted some smashing VTi-S carbon trim around the heater vents. Far nicer now.

The car passed the MOT Got a small list of advisories this year - Small oil leak - Number plates are deteriorated - Front discs and pads need doing soon - All 4 suspension springs are corroded. New discs and pads going on within the month. New plates ordered and my MeisterR's will need to be bought this year

Hi all, Bit of a long shot here.... I have a Philips CE153 headunit which has, USB, Bluetooth, 3.5mm jack, radio and an SD card slot. I play all my music from my 16GB SD and I have roughly 1000+ tracks. The issue I'm having is that the headunit does not sort the music A-Z... it is sorted in a random order that I cannot figure out! It's worth noting that although the folders are jumbled up, the tracks are played in sequential order.. Forgive my poor music tastes.. but below you can see each album has its own folder with the same naming format. I've even gone as far to update the last access time to be exactly the same. The folders are still sorted in jumbled order. Has anyone had an issue like this with another head unit at all? -------- I've done some Googling and read that it could be sorting them in the order the folders/files were written to the filesystem. Which is beyond all logic. So I'm using a tool right this second which is re-writing each folder/file to the SD card in alphabetical order.

Done a small amount of servicing over the last couple days. New set of plugs. NGK gapped to 1.1mm. Here's the old ones. All seem okay with maybe one cyl slightly overfuelling. I also did the fuel filter and had some real issues! The Crosland kit I was sold had a filter and a one copper washer. So I fitted the filter, screwed the bottom fuel line in and screwed the top line in with the copper washer. Kept the rag in place in case of any leaks. I primed the car 3-4 times to build up the fuel pressure and it leaked fuel out the bottom _everywhere_! Took the filter out and dashed to Motor Parts Direct for a new filter. This kit contained the filter, 2 larger copper washers and a smaller copper washer. I fitted the filter with both larger washers around the top fuel line and I fitted the smaller copper washer around the lower fuel line. The smaller washer was a bit fiddly. I rested the washer on the fuel line and then insert into the filter and tightened it all up. I primed again 2-3 times. No leaks! Started it up and no leaks Driven 15miles to work this morning and still no leaks. However I'm still unsure as to whether or not it's 100% watertight. Fooling myself into thinking I can smell fuel. Can anyone tell me the fuel pressures when priming? When on idle? And when at WOT? If I'm right in thinking the filter is after the FPR so the pressure will vary. I want to be sure there's no leaks when pressure is at its highest. This has confirmed to me...I'm not a mechanic Oh, MOT is also booked for Saturday! Fingers are crossed!

Oddly enough it only judders in 1st when cold. After 5miles or so it's pretty smooth. No judder in any other gears. No judder in reverse though... I'll pm you 10000rpm!

I see a Valeo clutch set for a deal of £89.99 I'm seeing mixed reviews though!

Yep, the clutch pedal is very heavy. So much so that when depressing fully, it lifts me out the seat slightly! I weigh just 8st 12lb though! Pulling away in 1st when cold is a misery with juddering and the bite point has always felt "vague". Hard to describe but there really.. isn't one. Changing gear sometimes feels like stirring coal. 1st is never easy, Probs a combination of dirty box oil and old clutch. It's a shame as sometime it makes me hate driving the car and rips all the fun out of it. Dreading every morning... I'm going to phone local Honda dealer in a bit to see how much a genuine clutch kit will cost. Failing that I'll hop over to Euros and nab one cheaper A local garage has said £200 cash for fitting

Not much going on, MOT soon though I found out my car has _never_ had a clutch. Being at 96k, I'm guessing it's overdue! Any suggestions? They make a car look so much more modern, I just couldn't get to grips with the colour though. Felt like my eyes were straining a little.

So I was a little naughty and bought a set of these And after just 30mins of use, I took them out. Massively overrated. I replaced them with OSRAM Night Breaker Plus H4 55w bulbs and also these dandy things, Emits roughly 3300k which imo, is the sweet spot. And FINALLY, this arrived, I doubt I'd use the baffle. The backbox tip has some slight dents and made the baffle fitment VERY tight. Took me an hour to get the b****r out! Combination of a C-spanner and some screwdrivers trying to hook it out.

Some more small updates. My new roof aerial from eBay arrived. Perfect fit and is about 2 inches smaller than standard, looks pretty good. Not tested it yet to see if it actually works I also managed to solve my auto-adjuster headlight issue! For those who don't know, I bought some tinted headlights about 3 months ago. I fitted them and they looked great, but the beam was all over the place! I discovered the lenses weren't attached to the auto-adjusters. I imagined to solve it required taking the headlights out and actually disassembling then and re-assembling them in the correct order. Well today I got my old headlights out and checked out the adjusters and lenses. Couldn't see much but I could see where the adjuster went and what it connected to. Popped the car bonnet, managed to twist the adjuster and it just pulled straight out! This is it: And this is where it goes, I tried for a good 10 mins trying to push it on the lense... with no luck. It just kept popping away!! Got my finger in there for a good feel and on one side I could feel a small notch. After some more precise fiddling with the adjuster and lense it finally clicked into place! The drivers side required the bumper to be pulled away and the headlight to be removed though. The power steering pump was in the way Productive day. That was my only real issue regarding an MOT.

Kwik Fit should drain and clean it for free. After all, they re-use the stuff they drain so it benefits them.

Painted the grille surround and badge black. It WAS matte. I gave it a coat of clear lacquer to toughen it up against stone chips and it ended up the shiniest finish I've ever got... Parked at work. I work at an awesome location.
