  1. A combination of someone pulling out in front of me when there wasn't really enough space and me not reacting quick enough, I was in a bit of the town I didn't know so I was trying to get my bearings, I might have been able to stop quicker if that wasn't the case but the stupid cow should have waited till I was past anyway.
  2. I will try! however im not sure where im going to get a new slam panel, out of the factory they are welded in place so most brakers dont save it
  3. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!! car got its nose bashed in on the way home tonight -.- it would seem that mechanically and structurally its fine as it still drives fine but the headlights/top slam panel/crash bar/bonnet and possibly other things are f**ked the silver lining is the radiator seems to be intact as its not loosing coolant and not over heating and the steering is still perfect so presumably the running gear hasn't been damaged....... this really isn't my day
  4. Hmm weird, the title on the thread didn't change till this afternoon on my phone. Oh well wouldn't have stood a chance next to DD anyway lol
  5. Arg, you must have changed it while I was typing that lol
  6. Screw it! It's my birthday, putting mine in http://imgur.com/WhxdMzl
  7. ive got exactly the same problem after being rear ended as well, chances are, like mine, the bodywork under the plastic in the boot is a bit out of shape and the mechanism isnt in the right place for that lever to work, depending on how far out it is you might be able to realign it with a strategically wielded hammer
  8. Yeh dude just those at the moment, plan to do the whole car eventually but those were desperately needing done
  9. Ok so poly bushes are on! started out getting the old bushes out of the Alloy arms i had which was much less painful than i was expecting we then however discovered that the bushes i had didnt fit the arms as they are narrower than the stock arms and the new bushes are designed for the stock ones RIGHT! stock arms it is!...... what a pain the arse that was..... 3 hours a side and 13 drill bits broken, just to get the old bushes out! here's what the old ones looked like.... however once they were out getting the new ones in was fairly painless and here's the arm back on the car what a difference! between this and having the tracking done and dropping the ride height at the front the car is handling like its on rails now! Now whats limiting my speed in the corners is the seats lol, i have absolutely no doubt the car can do it faster but i get plastered up against the window if i go round a bend too quick I would like to say a HUGE thank you to Jamie Love who put in a massive amount of time while i was at work Next small update! Went to see Dave and DD on Tuesday for a bit of a bleather and Dave very kindly after seeing my tatty steering wheel offered me one he had sitting in the garage! so 10 mins later and Ruby's Original wheel is in my car thanks again @Dave thats all for now but hopefully there will be a big update on brakes very soon!
  10. yeh i agree @Krzys i am mildly dyslexic so i get it wrong some times but it still buggs the hell out of me when something is all over the place ^^
  11. its nice but i would have done a couple of things differently given that kind of budget, he's also wrong about a couple of minor things in the spec list......... spelling leaves a lot top be desired as well lol
  12. Can't wait to see them, and thanks for the new wheel , and as someone said already.... Yes.... She is even more stunning in person, the pics really don't do DD any justice
  13. Cool, yeh I was going to go for the motul 5.1 stuff that Tom mentioned before, just wasn't sure how much I was going to need
  14. right, just ordering the stuff I need to do my brakes, and among other things im doing braided lines, anyone got any idea how much brake fluid im going to need? im also fairly sure the stuff in it is crap so ill probably want to flush the system with good fluid

    MB6 gear knob

personaly I love the stainless VTiS knob, only downside is a couple of times ive jumped in and burnt my hand on it when the car has been sitting in the sun lol
  16. Looks amazing Dave, personally I would be looking into getting rid of the fake wood next, not sure what I would put in its place to go with the chrome strip though..... Maybe carbon wrap in the same shade of blue as the interior?

    USELESS?

Acctually..... If you are going to see any difference at all its going to be on an N/A engine, a cold intake is entierly pointless if it is feeding into a big hot turbo
  18. Mighty Car Mods did an episode on them at one point, if you get stuck their how-to's are really good
  19. Thanks mate I suspect the car had been in a front end bump before I got it and the wishbone on that side was bent slightly backwards, which by the time you add the hub and the wheel the effect is amplified so the wheel is significantly out of place

mine didnt take anywhere near that long, they arnt checking the work at all, basically what it's for is to check that the car is still the one its supposed to be, for example making sure that its not the plates from a written off car on a stolen car or making sure its not a cut and shut job etc
  21. I like the colour combo as well but sadly close up the paint is in really bad condition, and to match both those colours for a respray would be seriously expensive ( i would have thought) yeh i need to measure the hights again to see what the difference is but i do think the front still needs to come down a bit, ill probably do that once the Poly bushes are in ( rear LCA's)

took it to my usual one, basically you get the car back and its not road legal, you then have to mot it with the same grace to drive it to and from the mot center as usual, then once it is mot'd it is road legal again, however you wont be able to buy a tax disk for it untill the VIC check has been done
