dinochips
OK OK Been a while since I updated this thread Maybe will get around to filling in the gaps The S2000 blew its engine 13 miles away from the nurburgring on the autobahn at 145mph spent the next 6 months sourcing a replacement engine upgrading it and putting the car back together, to return to the ring and actually do the dam thing. I am putting together a Youtube series of how it all happened. just need to finish the last videos off but if your interested here's the link. here are a couple snaps of what he looks like now.

dr_broon
Wow, I bet that wasn't much fun at that speed! Was it on the way there or back (or do the photos answer the question?
Dave
Wow, what a bugger!! That's what kinda put me off taking the TypeR over to the ring, worried about the hassle of getting it home if it broke down or if really unlucky somebody hitting it while on the track. So decided against it. Good to see it all coming apart to find the culprit to the engine failure, and fair play to doing all that youreself mate!
KiNK43
That is unlucky could happen to anyone. I went in August last year in my ford. Think we won the best mpg on a lap. Went flat out on the autobahn aswell.
