Just check the stat yeah. Turn it round if required. See what happens.

No there is no fit so don't worry. Assuming you've check for vac leaks and cooling system is bled.

Your culprit is most likely iacv. Followed by tps.

I've had numerous issues over the years..

And I found that the iacv created a pulsing idle. Would raise and drop every second for me.

My tps also went bad which resulted in thE engine revving on its own when idle. Rev's would just pick up to say 2.5k rpm and stay there until I pulled off.
