the engines the part im most looking forward too, the rest of it will be fun and being used to heavy engineering any big job on a car seems like a minor inconvenience to me lol,

changing a clutch doesnt seem too daunting when youve spent weeks changing a crank at sea haha

well it's been a busy week, cleared enough space to get a car over the pit in my garage. first time a cars been over that pit in i'd say over 20 years, since my dad moved out (he built it himself). I've only been driving 2 years so not had a need to get a car in there, just dirtbikes.

So far i've wired the sub and amp in the boot, with 4inch kenwood coaxials in the rear and Alpine components to the front doors, with sound dampening (took me about 3 - 4 hours each side, way longer than i expected)

not gonna lie lads, i shed a few tears of actual joy when i tested it, cup of tea in hand in my nice warm garage. Just so excited for what i'm hoping for this workspace to be, had my mate bring his golf round to fit his new wheels and another friend has just got an old sr20 engined early primera that we will be modifying, also another mate wants to buy the c class merc i have sitting here when he passes his test. Haha we're all late 20's and only just getting into cars so it's pretty exciting... anyway...

Had a bit of a clean up in the engine bay, fitted new battery.

Cleared out cabin air space and changed filter, new heater resistor.

Exhaust was blowing a little bit

So i fitted a used stainless 2.5 cat back. Will fit the manifold and decat later.

Also fitted new shift linkage bushings and a short shifter while the exhaust was off. Plenty of jobs underneath the car to be done by the looks of things, mot in may. Back of my mind i think the wildsheild leak may have already done the worst but i'm not going to worry about that for a bit, just ignore it and it will go away :D

Plenty to come

haha yeah i been listening to it for weeks, sounded alright sometimes lol. had a quick test drive, love it, shifts loads better now, just need to change the gearbox oil and do the clutch. Sounds good too, not too loud, but meaty.

Wouldn't want to do a set of front door speakers again for a while, havn't got the patience for fiddly jobs, but i stuck at it and did my best, shredded hands in the process.
