Dave
Most of the shows up here are all pay to get in! Theres a crcker coming up in June about 10 mins up the road from us at Thirlstane castle in Lauder. They're also doing a bit at the show to celebrate 60yrs of the Ford Mustang so Gayle and me will be in our eliment! Always wanted a Mustang and it's Gayle's fav car.
dr_broon
Think they do it free as its their venue, with a pub / wedding venue, and bit of publcity for their restoration business / car sales - on a Thursday night so probably doesn't cost them much apart from time, and brings them a bit of business in when it might be quiet. Win win.
Dave
Nice, wish more places up here too that approach. Might see if there's any interest in pubs near here for a classic/retro/modded car meet! Know a place where it would be ideal!
dr_broon
Finally made a bit of progress with an ecu.. Found a p28 with hondata s300 already installed on ebay for a few hundred quid and snapped it up. Didn't clock though at the time that it's been adapted (by hondata by the look of it) to have. Obd2a connectors on it 🤦 Of course, it should look like this.. Now I don't seem to be able to find a conversion harness the right way around, probably because noone would have a need to fit an odb2 ecu into an odb1 car... So I'm back to needing someone to do some electronic wizardry with a soldering iron, but this time to swap the connector from my dead p28 to this new one. 🤔

Dave
Nothing is ever straight forward with the Civic Ms! With they had been obd2, make things a lot simpler. You going to by the harness? Probably the only easy option I think.
