dr_broon
I'm leaning towards that way of thinking as well. Either that or chopping the inner leg off the resonator and running a feed to that from the air box.
noodels
Could Just smash the DC2 casing if you have it !<the one from under wheel arch> with a hammer, its very brittle..and mate the 2 pipes together with tape, its a great route for the CAI with correct air transition <flow> the MB one does not fit the DC2 Box,its a much bigger intake pre airbox side.. loads of stuff on the web regarding the above
dr_broon
No, haven't got the dc2 one. Was reading loads of stuff last night, and tbh, there's so much conflicting views about the point of the resonator or not, that I'm leaning towards modding the resonator, but leaving it in. Basically putting a new pipe from the air box to the resonator.

dr_broon
If nothing else, I'll be able to get my spanner back that fell into the resonator when I was fitting the throttle body
dr_broon
Test fit of temporary intake hose. Hmmm For some reason the other pics won't upload @Dave It's a flexible bog pipe. Rubber end squeezes in real tight and fits a treat, even with the oval hole. Takes a bit of squeezing the pvc pipe into an oval shape, but it's bang on for size. Won't fit past the resonator though, so it's going to have to wait till the weekend for that to come out.

dr_broon
What a tiny tube! Compared to the inlet side of the dc2 air box... The bit of pipe to squeeze in to that hole.. Progress
