vtec2011
Whole dashboard out? Greeeeaaaat.......... I just went out to have another look. Turn the heaters on number 2, let the car run a bit and as soon as the engine revs starts to drop (I guess that's the thermostat opening too) water starts dripping from under the dash. I removed the glove box and yes, it doesn't look like an easy job....
NIKH25
I really hope it's not the matrix chap, this is what Jake's looked like.
KiNK43
To be fair it's an easy job even tho it looks daunting. Just takes a good while. I reckon if I was to do it again could be done in a few hours. But I was tackling if after work between feeding kids and bed times etc.

vtec2011
Bloody hell.... I think its going to be longer than a days work by the looks of it I will see how it goes in the next few days...
KiNK43
Simpler than it looks. Just nuts and bolts. Hope you got small hands to get the hoses off the matrix tho. That probably took as long as removing the dash
Grant
It's pretty simple to do. It's just a massive pain in the arse and fiddly. Quite frustrating at times too. But I'm sure you will over come it!!
vtec2011
I have removed dashboards from Laguna's before, I hope it isn't as bad I will do it once the weather clears up a bit, if it does....
vtec2011
This leak in the passenger foot well seem to come and go! One thing I do know for sure, it isn't coolant. So I guess its not the heater matrix? Not sure but its not leaking now anyway... And yes! I have picked up a D16Y8 head! Obviously I got to do a lot of research, getting bits and pieces together and find a P28 or P30 ecu, but is it worth doing a head conversion? Is it really worth the hassle? I have seen a lot of people do it to D14, D15 and non vtec motors but dunno yet, I will have a long think about it So, I got a: D16Y8 cylinder head D16Z6 inlet manifold D16Z6 exhaust manifold which is currently fitted
NIKH25
Have you tried taking the glovebox out, to see if it's wet up in there, could be the bottom of the screen leaking.
