Nice dials, I see you got my color. But I like them better in km/h :D Shame about the temperature control unit, hope you get it sorted.

Mine have km/h too! Moman are giving me a refund for the heater control panel as it appears they can't make a custom one for me. Maybe I'll save it for when I buy a LHD MB.

Wow I love those moman dials man.. Were they easy to wire up? Looks so kool specially in the dark :)

Very. I found a guide on here that tells you what wires to tap into for power and ground, so the entire process took a couple of hours or so.

Is it me or do VTi's love eating batteries? I thought I had a parasitic draw but after testing just now it turns out I don't. If I leave the MB6 sitting over the weekend it just ends up with a flat battery. However the MB3 can sit for a week and still have enough charge to start the engine. This is using the same battery in both cars too. Maybe the VTi just demands the finest of batteries or it ends up in a strop. lol

I find that too, I thought I just needed a new battery... Will be getting a new one soon to see if it's duff battery or the VTi just ruins them!! Lol... Or could be a naff alternator not giving enough charge?

I kept checking the battery voltage every 5 mins whilst letting the alternator charge it, it was definitely charging fine. I even went for a long drive and then checked it and I got 12.7 volts which I believe is a full charge. Every 2 or 3 years it seems to just fall out with the battery it has. Thinking of buying a Bosch S4 and seeing how it goes. The Bosch S3 in the BMW has been amazing.

So I figured out my problems. Both the Exide battery (what I had in the MB6 originally) and the Platinum battery (fished out of the MB3) are dying but not completely kaput. The reason why the MB3 doesn't lose all its charge in a few days is because it has no alarm system and no radio (my BMW stole it, bloody Londoners hurr hurr), so the draw whilst the car is off is really low. The MB6 however has an aftermarket radio and an aftermarket alarm, which obviously draw a little bit of power whilst the car is off but the draw is within acceptable ranges. With a dying battery, any kind of draw is just made worse since the battery can't hold a charge very well. I'll just have to start the car up and idle it for a few minutes every day to keep the battery charged until it finally dies properly.

Sounds reasonable, the VTi-S was parked up after Nick's memorial meet in October and left basically until the day before it went up for sale! Started fine on it's own remaining charge! Had only been stood four months give or take
