It's up to our traders what prices they charge, although they do always give a discount to our members. It may be part of an ongoing offer or sale, or some other promotion, in which case our discount wouldn't apply. I'll give them a wee PM to see if they can shed any light on it chaps. As Krzys, it's good to have these traders as part of the club, as they normally can save us a few quid. Sky insurance saved me a lot last year insuring DD. I saved money on the oil for the TypeR last month from Opie (was cheaper than the likes of Halfords etc), and our Honda dealerships who are part of the club save us money time and time again. On buying direct from source, I have always found the manufacturer charges more! No idea why that is!! But I guess its like if you went to buy a jar of coffee, it would cost you more buying it from Nescafe than it would buying it from Asda or Tesco. It's due to bulk buying, these sellers buy it in bulk and at trade price, so they get it mega cheaper than the RRP. Sounds like the Manufacturers are doing themselves out of sales when people will go to superstores instead of the original company? Not so, they prefer to sell in bulk rather than 1 item to 1 customer, as it saves on shipping costs and means they get a larger income. Buying direct is often deliberately set higher because companies prefer not to deal with the public direct. It's all about business.1 point

wow such posts many replies; Funny you mention the dash, its ready to go on! Really happy with the outcome for a rookie job tbh. should look quite nice tbh! wont be fitted until i sort the video out on my head unit, would be a shame to scratch it! You know my plans boi, you know my plans. As for the Herald, its not been started in 4 years, although is a FABULOUS car i'd love to drive it. really hoping to persuade dad to get it running again in the next few years as its worth a bit of money now compared to what was paid for it! clearing out the garage next weekend hopefully get some racking up in there and finally get my wheelie toolbox ive always wanted!1 point

Mine were set with 30mm of gap on the fronts and 40mm on the rears. Added 30mm to both (to keep that lovely OEM rake) and it looks more reasonable now. Obviously the final ride height will be set once they're on the car.1 point

So about 15 minutes ago my parcel finally arrived. Yep, definitely for the right car. No EG or EK baloney here. At this point I should mention I had planned on ordering some H&R lowering springs, but I realised it had been almost a year since I got declined finance on Meisters... So I bought some Meister R stickers! Just kidding. I got accepted for finance. Time to give my MB6 what it's been begging for since last year.1 point

Update - Changed over the pollen filter today as the heaters were killing me with fumes. There was literally a forest of leaves and crud in the hole where the filter goes and the actual filter looked like it was the original haha. Much better now though. My uncle has an FN2 and picked up the Gruppe M intake for it so he's giving me his K&N Apollo kit which I should be fitting tomorrow. Comes with a heat-shield/cover type thing which has cold air ducting attached onto it. Makes the K20 scream so hopefully it will do something about my lack of Vtec noise after fitting the smaller exhaust. So because I managed to get the insurance for a great price I've decided to use the money to buy a couple of expensive items for the car and then call it day. So, as a result I ordered 4 16" Rota Slipstreams in black and 4 Michelin Pilot Sport 205/45/16 tyres. Should be here next week, well excited.1 point

It's standard MB shocks on the rear and standard EG shocks on front. I vote against EG springs, they may fit but drive crap. Anyone reading this, please avoid EG suspension.1 point
